"From beginning to end the visit was superb. Prior to visit booked dinner and spa session, receptionist super helpful and friendly. Check in smooth shown to our room. Lovely touch heart shape Welsh cakes waiting us for valentines. Room comfy and warm. Clean and plenty of fresh towels. Session in spa very relaxing not over crowded. Dinner menu varied also valentine special. Food and service exceptional. Breakfast choice very good food hot and plentiful. 3rd stay at hotel highly recommend we will be back. "

"As the organiser of a 6 room booking no one in the group had any complaints at all. The staff were incredibly attentive and happy to help, the rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was exactly as expected. Considering we were there way out of their main season and the roof had sustained some damage from a recent storm, we were very impressed."

"As a constant traveller, I really prefer these older hotels with their big rooms and spacious bathrooms. Lovely staff, from reception to the restaurant and bar staff. Great home made steak and ale pie for dinner. Room was brightly lit, a big desk for working, lots of sockets and great WiFi. Thank you all."

"You get a warm welcome on arrival. The hotel is situated in a great place opposite the CSTLE. The room was warm, clean and very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. Great place to stay."
