The villa is bigger than it looks on the website with more to see, we stay at different villas 2 or 3 times a year and this is one of the best, very spacious and individually furnished, it is more like staying in a home rather than a rental, even the kitchen knives were sharp not something we normally find. "First of all the welcome was perfect. Nicky met us at Castell de Ferro and guided us through the winding roads to the Villa. The house itself was huge and very well presented. With 5 spacious bedrooms and almost as many bathrooms. The children loved exploring every bit of it. In terms of amenities, the house is very well equipped had everything our family needed. "We enjoyed a lovely week at the villa however we did feel the interior was a little tired. A welcome pack of dishwasher tablets, bin bags salt & pepper, some basics would have been very welcome as if you forget something on your shopping list is a mission to go to the shop. There was no salt or rinse agent in the machine which we felt should be checked in between let’s, there were no plastic glasses to use around the pool & not enough wine or water glasses for 1 each! "We just had a fab holiday in Villa Cecilia…Perfect pool, perfect house. The villa is up a mountain with the last three minutes…not for the faint hearted. Really peaceful, as has no phone signal. WiFi signal at Villa is decent, but did blip, twice for a prolonged time. Thanks for a lovely holiday! "

"This is a lovely large Villa which was perfect for us as we were 3 families holidaying together. Plenty of outdoor space and the shared pool (although we were the only ones in it) was well kept and a good size for swimming and diving. It's a 10 min walk down a steep hill to the town. Very manageable, but if you struggle then there are plenty of taxis around for a lift back up (7 Euros). Lovely area - very spanish which was great. Almunicar is a 20 min walk along the beach front. "The villa is modern, well equipped, spacious, and has a great heated pool. A/C works well and all windows have shutters. Terrific views across Almenucar, and is in a quiet safe area with easy on street parking. The arrival arrangements were not good - instructions for location sent on the day and then no information to say it was self check-in and that the owner was not going to be there - they were in the UK - and a delay in locating keys because of a lack of pre-arrival information. "Amazing house and location. Ricardo, Gertru and Patricia were so welcoming and helpful, really made us all feel relaxed. The house was equipped with everything you would want to feel at home. The pool area is amazing and so well looked after, as is the whole house. We will definitely be back to stay again soon!"

"We all loved the villa, very spacious and beautiful grounds/garden. The pool and hot tub were especially a hit with the children. Very well equipped and good contact with the host. We did think it would be good to have a small stock of plastic glasses/ plates for young children and inflatable’s for the pool. "

"Initially we thought the photographs showed the property in a better light than upon inspection. However this feeling wore off during our stay. The heated pool was great, although the manual cover was a bit of a pain to pull over each night. Didn’t use the hot tub or the sauna, more than happy to lay outside in the sunshine with occasional dips into the pool. "We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay here. All facilities good although we felt that the bathrooms were a little tired and could benefit from an update. Cracked tiles and faulty shower heads. Apart from that everything was lovely. The house is very spacious and the pool area with its magnificent views were wonderful and well equipped with sun beds and different seating areas. "Really enjoyed our stay. You overlook mountains, almost a 360 view, could also see the sea in the distance. At night you have a wonderful view of the the stars. The pool was good not too small.The only down side of the location is that you would find it a tad difficult to drive at night as there are no street lamps and the road up is winding and quite narrow. Apart from that we had a lovely time nice and quite and its only mins drive to the beach!!"
