"We really loved the garden and the birds including a magnificent nuthatch, which visited regularly. It was wonderful to be in nature, we enjoyed the walks, the nature reserve and wild swimming. While the kitchen and living room were great, we do have some feedback on the state of the bedding, bathrooms and downstairs bedrooms. The pillows and duvets were smelly and stained. We were dismayed that the owners had not checked the current state of the downstairs bedrooms, as we had specifically...

"We were greeted by the friendly host, Chris who showed us around. We found Rosie's cottage exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were plenty of towels. The location was lovely and quiet and in a great position for visiting local attractions. We would definitely stay again."

"Lovely old cottage with everything we needed, fantastic views, the cream teas that were left for us was a lovely touch, the decking area was very disappointing and in need of some upgrading, great location for visiting other areas of interest in easy reach, overall we had a great holiday and would love t go back again, "

"Beautiful location in Appledore. View over the estuary to the Atlantic ever changing and soothing as the tides ebbed and flowed. Second time to this magical little town..and will be coming again for sure. Property on seaward side of Irsha Street and like all the others that side of the street it gave straight onto the estuary with dramatic views every day, and wonderful sunsets."

"The property fulfilled all our needs. It was comfy and quiet. Unfortunately on the last night our car, with French registration, was scraped all along the side. Clearly, parking in a public square makes one more vulnerable to such incidents. In every other way the cottage was beautifully positioned close to the church, and not far from the pub and village shop. Although we had cold, grey weather, we enjoyed ourselves very much."
