The Neighborhood:
Situated on the fringes of Newquay town centre, you are located in a friendly development with only a short drive to local amenities. From boutique bars, trendy dining & coffee shops, beaches, supermarkets, golf and everything in between, Newquay town is around a 25-35 minute walk away or a 5-10 minute drive depending on where you are headed.
Try Newquay Orchard, Heart and Soul café just a few minutes walk away from the house for coffee and lunches, boasting the freshest local produce.
Porth Beach is a few minutes drive from the property, best known for its safe swimming and relaxed vibe. The beach is lifeguarded during the summer season and there is a pub right on the sand. Why not try your hand at sunrise paddle-boarding, or head a little further along the coast to stylish Watergate Bay & Mawgan Porth?
For those seeking an active break, you’re spoilt for choice. Nestled into Newquay Bay, Lusty Glaze is a great spot for an array of activities for the adventurous, whether it's a jet ski tour along the Cornish coast or a banana boat ride! Fistral Beach is a short drive through the town and is the ideal place for you to take a dip in the ocean and give surfing a go, we highly recommend hitting up Women & Waves or Newquay Activity Centre. There are plenty of opportunities to book surf lessons or hire gear, all within a complex of cafes, takeaways, and shops, located right on the beach. Or you can just lie on the beach and watch the action from afar!
When seeking a less active stay or when the days are a little less sunny, you have the option of the 5-star Headland Hotel & Spa to enjoy. Restore your sense of balance and let yourself unwind with a luxury spa treatment or take a dip in the ‘Aqua Club’ ranked No 10 in the ‘World’s Best Hotel Swimming Pools’, non-residents are always welcome at the hotel (subject to availability).
For the golf lover, you have one of South West's finest links courses at Fistral, visitors are always welcome.
Newquay has an array of beautiful coastal walks. Head over to Porth and along the beautiful coast path to Watergate Bay, it's a long walk but the hot chocolate on the beach is worth it.
Getting Around:
Newquay has some of the best travel connections anywhere in Cornwall. Trains operated by Great Western Railway run from London Paddington directly into the centre of town. Additionally, Newquay also has an international airport which is around a 15-minute drive. You can either get a taxi here or rent a car.
For those who travel via car to the property, there is a private parking space for 1 vehicle.
Other Things to Note:
Dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms.
Please note, the decorative surfboard is not for guest use.
There is an external security camera in the back garden. It points at the gate only and not towards the house or any seating area. There is also a video doorbell at the front door.
