The Neighborhood:
Newquay town centre has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars which are all within easy walking distance from the house.
The house is located in a modern development a few minute's walk from Porth Beach and a 20-minute walk to Newquay. Capital of the Cornish surf scene, Newquay and the surrounding areas are known for their fantastic waves. Particularly at Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. With miles and miles of golden sands, there’s a beach to suit everyone.
There are a handful of great restaurants, shops and bars by Fistral Beach, including Rick Steins and The Stable Pizza. On the Pentire Point, you will find the lovely Lewinnick Lodge, which offers brilliant food with a coastal backdrop.
Within walking distance, you’ll find a local pub - Mermaid Inn - as well as a boutique shop and coffee house, Roo’s on the Beach. Meanwhile, in Newquay, there are ample cafès, restaurants, bars, pubs and more. Walkers will love exploring the South West Coast Path, marvelling at the sparkling seas. The cove, Polly Joke, is a real local tip, a secluded hideaway often with calmer waters.
Further afield, you can explore Padstow, Rock or St Agnes on the north coast. As well as Trevibban Mill vineyard - a hidden gem. Or head south to Falmouth, where you’ll find the beautiful Helford Passage and more. The world-famous Eden Project can be reached in around 30 minutes drive and the art-hub of St Ives in about 40 minutes.

Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of Cornwall, a vehicle is recommended for getting the most out of your time here. There is private off-road parking for one car on the driveway and one car in the garage. The spaces are quite tight, so please check the listing photos to ensure they are suitable for your vehicles.
However, if you do not have a vehicle Newquay is one of the best towns in Cornwall to visit. Trains operated by Great Western Railway run into the centre of town from London Paddington. The station is then only a 5-minute drive from the property or a 20-minute walk. Newquay also has an international airport. So if you are travelling by air you can either rent a car or take a taxi from the airport. From here it is only a 10-minute drive to the house.
Other Things to Note:
Guests with mobility issues should be aware the property is split over three floors all accessed via stairs.
