Fabulous location! Close to all the key points of interest, great views (including sunset!), and friendly staff. We used the lounge and full kitchen in the lounge one evening which was a great feature. Parking was also easy.
Loved our stay here with its waterfront view and all the amenities we needed. This was our base for visiting family during the holiday season. and we were very comfortable here. Great location on Thames with many places to walk to or within a short drive. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice unit at the southern end of Newport's wharf area. Easy walk to many shops & restaurants. The building has its own parking. Beds were comfy, and there is a rooftop deck with a great view. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. 10/10 would recommend it!
Unfortunately, our room was worn and had such a strong odor that we couldn't stay at this location. We immediately left and stayed in a hotel in the next town over.

Clean and Comfortable
While the weather did not cooperate……fog, drizzle, not able to see the water, we were able to go to the mansions and see the lovely decorations both inside and out. Fortunately the rain held off for our outside walk. The condo/ hostel room was comfortable and had what we needed for a three night stay. We did not use the cooking facilities, but it appeared that the very basics were there.
The property is very nice and clean. The suite was perfect and modern. Parking was convenient and safe. There was always someone available to answer questions. Check in was not easy and pool was closed for two days for repairs. But I would highly recommend this property and I would return.
I have been going to Myrtle for many years and first time at Oceans 22. Arrived very early and staff was amazing. They had a room ready for us at 1230 and we were able to check in. Staff was extremely friendly during the entire stay. The room exceeded my expectations by far. Stayed on the 24th floor and had a great view of the ocean. I read a lot of bad reviews about elevator wait times and during the 5 days, I never once had to wait more then a minute or two. My family will deffintely be back next year.
Listing does not provide a lot of details which was a bit worrisome however was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Check-in was smooth and courteous. Room was as described, and nice to have fridge and kitchenette. Floor was quiet. Parking provided, although can be a bit of a squeeze. One night upon returning there were no spots remaining, so I was instructed to park at a paid lot and was reimbursed by the front desk the next morning, which was a reasonable compromise. Would stay here again as it is a good value for a great location in downtown Newport.
In early Dec, we stayed in a unit facing the harbor. Accurately described & depicted in the listing. You cannot beat the location, especially in the Summer. You can park & walk to everything in the Thames Street area in 10-15 minutes. Great bars/restaurants are within a 5 minute walk.
The unit's layout is odd, but fine for 2 people (or 4 - 2 adults + 2 kids) b/c you enter from the hall into the bedroom. If you have 4 people, the other 2 will be sleeping on the other side of the bedroom where the pull-out sofa bed is located. The bathroom is between the bedroom & the living space.
Beautiful view of the harbor from this unit. It is directly above the bar, but this is the 5th floor. We had no noise. It was December; no one was outside the bar at night. The windows do not open more than an inch, so I doubt that noise would be an issue, even in the summer.
There are some pipes running along the ceiling. They are for the room's sprinkler system, are unobtrusive & are no big deal.
The kitchen was well equipped for 4 people. Everything we used worked.
Parking is available, but tight. Instead of taking the ramp from Thames Street to park on the 2d level, suggest parking under the building b/c there is more room to maneuver in & out.
No fitness center, but it has free usage of the YMCA in Middletown. It's a great YMCA - pool and plentiful equipment of many varieties.
The staff were accommodating, but not locals & did not know where things were located.
