Great experience for making memories !
It was as advertised. Beds were comfy though the futon was not. It was a lovely experience and just what we were looking for. Did not put linens in the washer as we left a day early out of necessity.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Good location but
The property is in a convenient location and with an ocean view with a large upper deck. However all of the patio furniture was broken and unusable (the chairs all collapsed inward when anyone tried to sit in them or even put a hand on the seat). Living room and kitchen were very comfortable but the bedrooms and bathroom need work. Surfaces were wiped clean but sheets and bathmat were stained and worn very thin, bathroom grout was stained, and the bedroom ceilings are dirty old tiles. Overall, we had a fun trip! Just that it was more like staying in someone’s first apartment than a vacation.

Great place and great location
This property is in a great location. We were able to walk to the beach, restaurants, and Nye Beach main street where you will find places to eat, have a drink, shop. House is very well stocked. Lots of room (there was 5 of us). Plenty of parking and washer and dryer/

Simple, convenient, great view!
The beach retreat was as-advertised. A simple place to stay, right across the street from the ocean (viewed through the hotel buildings, but still a nice view). We walked over to Georgie's for a sunset dinner, which was great. The beds were comfortable (on the softer side), everything was clean, and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck and on the couch. This is not a super-luxury place (could use an upgrade in pots/pans, screens torn, etc), but it worked great for us (4 adults and two kids)! I would definitely come back. For the owners: while it was raining, there was a small leak in the roof near the white stool under the sunset picture.

Dirty, unsafe, NOT good for kids, and problems with the property will not be addressed.
We were very disappointed with this property. The beautiful wrap-around couch in the pictures was covered with weird, dirty stains. The heat was very hard to control. Each room has ancient individual baseboard heaters which apparently have 2 settings: off and blazing hot. We spent a lot of time battling with them and worrying that our 2 year old would burn himself before just shutting them off and freezing through the nights. Screens on the upper floor were completely ripped through or completely missing, so we couldn't open any windows for fear our children would get too close and tumble out. It was advertised that there were games and puzzles. Our first few days were very windy, so we largely stayed in, but none of the puzzles had all their pieces, and all the board games were jumbled together and missing so many pieces, we could not do anything with them. The real kicker was that when we were packing up to leave, we did a load of laundry and then the dryer stopped working. We suspected a breaker, but couldn't find any breaker boxes. Our downstairs neighbors even graciously let us tromp through their apartment searching for the breakers, but they were not there either. We put in a call to the number provided, but were told that they didn't know and someone from their local management team would be in touch, but we never heard back, even though I left my cell phone number. At the end of our trip, we ended up shoving loads of soaking wet clothes into our suitcases. As we were heading on to another part of our trip, we had to spend time and money at a laundromat rewashing (it was mildewy by then) and drying our clothes. Very disappointing. I would not stay again or recommend this property to anyone and feel cheated out of my money.

We stayed at the upper level of this Duplex and it was nothing like the pictures online , very Disap
This duplex was nothing like the pictures online or the brochure. The stair way the the little home was creepy n dirty. The whole places needed a upgrade for the priced I paid to stay there for 2 nights . On the deck there was cords just laying on the ground which needed to be secured to walls , they were cords for dish tv , the deck gave the kids n I slivers , needed help , the patio furniture looks like it's from the 80s. There was suppose to be a high chair , there was not one , the laundry room was down stairs outside n put n around the other side which was also creepy, we did not use . The bedrooms were creepy we did not use , my one yr old was to scared to sleep in the room. The Baseboard heaters didn't work I'm living room n the heater didn't work in bathroom , there was a plug in heater in living room for use , but that seemed unsafe , we slept in living room with our babies n shut door to the bathroom n bedrooms to stay warm . I really would like some kinda refund . This house was a let down . Matched nothing of the description n pictures , this place needs fixed up bad . Please share w owners

Great location!
Nice quarters in great location. Right across the street from the beach, a 10 minute walk to the shops and cafes of Nye Beach, short walk to the Deco District, and an easy drive or longer walk to the Bayfront. Some of the paint and trim could use a touch-up, but we're not picky and found everything pretty cozy.

Great place to stay on a budget
Me and my wife wanted to go on a vacation with our kids but we didn't want to rent a hotel and be forced to go to bed around 8:00PM with them. We chose this place because of the multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, balcony, proximity to the beach, and proximity to the stores. I was expecting to arrive at an apartment complex and was glad to see it was indeed a duplex with a unit on top and bottom . Both units are open for rent. When we arrived we had our own parking spot. When we opened the door we were greeted by the smell of an older building in the stairs only. My wife and I didn't mind but some of our friends with expensive taste may have found it to be unpleasant. The duplex reminded me of an older home; no issues with it and everything has been maintained. We appreciated that a baby gate was available. As the post specifies, the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and all the normal appliances a kitchen should have. The kitchen was a clean place to prepare food and eat and we were very satisfied. The dining room and living room were also clean, as was the couch which I found quite comfortable. There is a 32" LCD TV with Dish TV with multiple channel options. Free WiFi was also provided and we had no issues with streaming SlingTV. The bathroom appeared to have undergone a renovation in the past 5 years. The lid to the toilet seat was cracked but other than that everything was clean, the shower was hot, and there was fantastic water pressure. Bedrooms were small but we didn't go on vacation to stay in bed all day. The beds felt more like they were full sized than queen sized, but this is coming from someone who sleeps in a king sized bed. The headboard in one of the rooms was not fixed to the bed so I decided to move it to the closet so we wouldn't rattle it if we had to get out of bed. This uncovered what looked like a medium splash mark that appeared to be where someone had either spilled hot cocoa or some brownish liquid. I covered the area so I wouldn't have to deal with it but this was the only thing that really bothered me during our stay. I was also unaware that we would need to do some chores before leaving but that didn't bother me (laundry, trash, and dishes). Also, our trip was at the end of September and was quite cold. Only heat source is either baseboard heat or a small heater in the living room. We enjoyed our stay and may possibly stay here again next time we're down.

Great location!
The location of this retreat was great - close to the beach with a nice view! Overall the place was cozy and warm. The only real complaint was the water pressure in the shower, which was non-existent! The owners should consider fixing it to make for a better experience. We would consider staying there again.

Clean, comfortable, great view, and perfect location!!
My husband and I stayed here with our four children. Our 9 & 12 year old boys had one room and our 14 year old son slept on the fouton in the living room. Our toddler slept with us in our room. It was a perfect fit! The beach was right across the street. I enjoyed my morning run on the beach and yoga on the balcony of our rental, looking out onto the ocean. Upstairs was the best view, the downstairs is just cars across the street. We could walk to a play park down the road with a 40ft enclosed slide for the kids. It was a 5 minute drive to the aquarium and another couple minutes to the light house down the road the opposite direction. We got to see a pod of Orcas two days in a row and watch sea lions play in the water. It was an amazing vacation!! The only bad thing was the water pressure in the shower was the WORST of any shower I've ever been in. No exaggeration!!!
