Property mgr Chris very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately the cleaning company did not change the bedding but Chris was able to come through for us! Overall, was a nice place to stay, very spacious and a good location- everything is within walking distance.

This is a very large former storefront with plenty of space! Amenities were great, the host Chris, was responsive, and our stay was great! I appreciated the fabulous A/C in the bedrooms!

Communication with Chris was easy. Apartment is on the ground floor, just a few blocks from the main downtown area. A little noisy at night with a bar across the street, but otherwise excellent. Nice big living room with large TV screen. Bedrooms all very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Apartment was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location away from the bustle of downtown but convenient to restaurants, shops and water taxi. Chris was super responsive. Everything is as advertised. We loved the local eateries. Some street noise at night so light sleepers should stay in middle bedroom. Overall perfect for two teens and two couples!

Property was in a great location and we could walk to most places in town and to the cliffs.
Great location and easy parking and plenty of it . House was in clean in in good condition. Heating system was a bit strange but worked fine. Front bedroom is a bit noisy since it is on the main st. Owner is easy to reach with any issues. It was very roomy and a great price.

Awesome stay on Thames Street!
Had a great stay at this property! Very convenient location. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Check in with property manager Chris was very easy. Beds and couches were comfy. We didn't really utilize the kitchen, but were happy with the size and seating. Only feedback is that it can be a smidge loud at times, being right on the street on the first floor. Especially the bedroom with two beds, as the windows face the street. We could hear and see the light from the bar across the street at night. The Newport Marathon happened to be the weekend we were staying (didn't realize), and we heard spectators cheering right next to our window that morning! Not a huge deal at all, but perhaps put your sensitive sleepers in the bedrooms farther back.

Great Location
This place is right in the middle of it all and even has its own parking (big bonus). Common areas are spacious and had all the things you need to feel at home. Listing was exactly as described and the owner was very responsive to all the questions I had leading up to the visit. Use the messaging feature if you have questions. It is right on the street, so if you are staying in the front bedroom, expect a lot of noise. The bar across the street has karaoke on Sunday nights and it’s very loud because everything is so close by. I made it work with a sound machine! None of the noise was too terrible, just something to be aware of. Just a few suggestions to the owner: the unit needs hand towels and wash cloths, and light filtering curtains in the front bedroom. Also check out instructions are conflicting (strip the beds but don’t strip the beds lol).

Spacious Newport Condo in a Prime Location
Everything was perfect from start to finish! Chris was very friendly and attentive and made check in seamless. The apartment has more than enough room for 5 adults. It was very clean and modern. One of the bedrooms had its own bathroom and was like it's own separate apartment. The location was perfect: close to everything but away from the traffic. It was also great to have a large parking lot as parking in Newport can be tough. Shops, restaurants were within walking distance. It was very close to Cliff Walk, the beach, Fort Adams...It was a perfect fit for us, and we'd definitely be happy to stay there again. I'd highly recommend it!

Thames Street Apartment
We had a great time and Chris the property manager was great. They did a good job converting a store into an apartment. Maybe add flowers outside for more curb appeal. The space was spacious and great for 4 people. I would suggest updating the dishes, glasses, linens, towels, lighting, bathroom mirror, along with better cleaning in the small bathroom to support the high cost of the unit. Also, add curtains in the front bedroom to help with the street lights and noise. Thanks

It is a great location which is accurate, however the stove/oven didn't work (no burner or power to turn oven on), the fire place didn't work, and towels and shower were dirty. The listing stated a fully functioning kitchen, I would consider a stove to be a part of this. The listing also showed pictures of a working fireplace, the cord to plug it in was cut off so it wasn't even an option to use. There was one wet/used towel upon arrival and others were claimed as clean but apparently dirty. The shower floor was covered in mold and soap scum. These were all things the listing highlighted as being a plus but definitely weren't.

Great condo in the quieter side of town. Perfect walking distance to the fun bars, restaurants, mansions, town, cliff walk. Home Away's online system was down this week, but the owner was extremely accommodating on working out an alternative payment method. Place is big, fairly new renovations, clean. Kitchen is fairly bare-bones, but was perfect for Newport, because most visitors will want to visit the restaurants. Another couple bonuses- local spots: 1. Irish-American Sports bar across the street... clean, never busy, great friendly bartenders and customers (with pool, darts, and good music). 2. Harvest Market 2 blocks away for morning coffee and breakfast sandwiches; will also pack up picnic lunch for your cliff walk. Cliff walk was spectacular. Northern edge is higher, flatter, and paved. If you continue for the entire 3.5 miles around the bottom southern edge... it has some rock climbing and dirt/ stone trails. We loved the whole thing. Also highly recommend the 10 mile Ocean Ave scenic drive, with a stop at Castle Hill or Ocean Cliff for a drink on the lawn... beautiful lookouts over the bay, watching the sailboats. Felt like we were at the Stepbrother's Catalina Wine Mixer.

Great location, but lacking a few things. Parking available, dad meet and great odd.
Great location, walking distance to everything. Place though is on street level of what used to be a store front and first bedroom very noisy and bright. Other two bedrooms do not have windows at all. And back door goes out to street level also. Place only has a Keurig - so when buying groceries make note. Sheets had stains on them (like either used a fair bit or not washed) and a hair in the bed sheets like not washed and these sheets were wrinkled not fresh - way back bedroom. Pull out small sofa in back bedroom - no sheets at all. And slightly annoying aspect, owner never mentioned until day of rental that his dad was going to meet us to ensure who we are. Dad never showed up on time first morning, then owner texted multiple times setting up meeting times and not showing or asking us when we would be there. Felt creepy and uncomfortable. After three nights there, on our 4th day, dad shows up at 9 am not scheduled to "meet us" and help us (with what - we'd been there 4 days!) We were checking out the next day!!!!! Felt very odd and unnecessary at that point. If this is a regular expectation of having dad meet renters - should be stated in rental agreement - so everyone is on the same page. Also, should happen at a reasonable vacation hour and renters should not be asked to alter any plans or woken up by an unscheduled visit by dad. Overall, the place worked for our needs, parking was provided and location wonderful. Quality of apartment not exceptional but overall clean, bedrooms that did not have windows were quieter and beds were good. Plenty of bath towels, could use more hand towels for groups. Full size mirror would be a nice addition. Apartment is sparse with supplies. The apartment has very thin walls and you can hear everything from the bar accross the street at night and the people above and next door to you.
