Wonderful lakeside retreat
Private setting, cottage was well equipped. Nice get away . We will definitely be back and would recommend this rental to other people.
This property is great. Giant screened porch, nice kitchen, comfy beds, and a beautiful and quiet location. A traditional (thus, older) lakefront abide. Great communications with iwner
My wife and I were looking for a quick get away, Keiths cottage was perfect. It had water access to the south bay where we were able to kayak and enjoy watch the bird activity. The home was super clean and had plenty of space to relax. It was a quick drive to the shops and restaurants in downtown Newport. Keith was quick to respond to any questions that we had. I would defiantly stay here again.
Best host support and communications I have experienced. The cabin was well appointed, comfortable, extremely private, yet conveniently close to town.
It was all good, no down side.
My sisters and I rented this cabin while visiting family in Newport and Orleans. It was very comfortable for the four of us. We absolutely loved the screened porch. The cabin has everything you could need. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, coffee pot, ect…. The only thing we couldn’t do was have a bonfire due to the Mosquitoes. The setting is definitely quite and relaxing.
If you’re looking for a tranquil, stress-free and scenic break from daily life, this is a great place to go. The cabin is lovely—rustic but with everything you need. We spent the majority of our time on the extensive porch that wraps around half of the cabin, soaking in the mesmerizing and ever-changing view of the lake that abuts the edge of the property. Everything inside the cabin was super clean, the beds and linens were very comfortable and Keith responded within minutes to any questions we emailed to him. We also enjoyed exploring Newport and swimming at the beach at Prouty campgrounds.
The cottage is rustic looking but has all of the essentials including a washer/dryer, fantastic shower, loads of hot water, comfortable beds, heat for those chilly Vermont mornings, and a great kitchen. The screened in porch is wonderful. The location is fantastic; so quiet at the end of a dead end but about 8 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from Walmart.
Keith, the owner, is an absolute pleasure. Immediate responses to our questions and wonderful to deal with.
You will definitely enjoy the "get away from it all vibe" and the wildlife all around you! Have fun!
My wife and I spent two weeks at the cabin. It is a wonderful place, with an amazing screened-in porch with a great view of the lake, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great location. Keith responded promptly and obligingly to all of our requests. It is a perfect place to relax, the town of Newport has just enough going on, We brought out kayaks and were able o go out on the lake and take them on river trips in the surrounding area. We were 15 minutes from the Canadian border and went over twice to kayak and have pastries! We highly recommend the place for a relaxing vacation
I loved the screened-in porch! We ate all of our meals here, took naps here, spent time reading here. Listening to the birds, looking out at the water, was wonderful. We were especially grateful for the kayak your uncle provided. He was a terrific host!!
We had a wonderful, very chilled-out week at this gem of a country cottage, away from it all. It's a great spot for bird watching and reading lots of books, which is what we did all week!
The cottage was very clean, updated in just the right ways, while still maintaining its' original charm. Keith was a relaxed, accommodating host. We left reluctantly, hoping to return again in the future!
Beautiful, quiet place near the water, yet close to town. We biked, hiked and played golf during the days and opted not to go out for dinner as it was so nice to come back to at the end of the day. Plus, the kitchen had everything you need and was a lovely place to cook.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect!!
Historic lake cottage with access to Lake Memphramagog. Perfect for kayaking, viewing wildlife and enjoying being in a quiet out-of-the-way location. Comfortable beds and a lovely wrap around screened porch with Lake views.
Keith was the perfect host! Excellent communication and always available to answer questions. Will be happy to visit again!
The cabin exceeded our expectations. Comfortable beds and a beautiful kitchen with natural light and everything you need to prepare meals. Best of all is the wrap around screened in porch, which makes the whole place feel very spacious and provides great views of the wildlife.
We were looking for a property on the water and away from the "hustle and bustle", this property was exactly what we were looking for. Its rustic with a completely screened in porch that is perfect for waking up with a cup of coffee or winding down with a bowl of ice cream. So relaxing. We saw a heron, a mama and baby deer and lots of frogs. Dont hesitate to rent this property you will not be disappointed.
What a wonderful quiet and secluded location. We absolutely loved the cabin and all it had to offer. The screened in porch was unbelieveable for relaxing and playing endless games of monopoly. Everything was in order upon our arrival and Keith was always quick to respond to any inquiries we had about the property. The only thing I would add to this rental would be a small renters book with small instructions on things like garbage, laundry, and maybe some local information about restaurants and services nearby.
We really enjoyed our stay at this fabulous cottage on a quiet bay of Lake Memphremagog. Very convenient for trips to Newport, restaurants in the area, exploring surrounding state parks/lakes and Magog in Quebec. The owner helped us to get kayaks delivered right to the cottage and we enjoyed kayaking in the bay, larger lake and nearby rivers. The cottage was well-equipped with all we needed - beds were really comfortable, kitchen was well-supplied, and the screened-in porch was fantastic. The outdoor fire pit was a special treat for marshmallows! Highly recommend it and look forward to returning!
We had a lovely time at this lakeside property in early July. Lake views and access were great--we had rental kayaks dropped off at the beginning of our stay and were out on the water every day. Screened-in porch was a great spot for dining, lounging, etc. Furnishings hewed to a cabin minimalist line and were perfectly comfortable. Kitchen was well-equipped with the basics and we cooked in most meals. All around a really quiet, pretty spot to relax!

Billings Point is amazing! Serene, cozy, picturesque--like going back in time, but with all the amenities anyone could want. Keith and Colin were helpful and attentive hosts--the few questions we had were answered immediately. As avid birders, we need never have left the Point to see everything from wood ducks, herons and kingfishers to mighty Bald Eagles. That said, we enjoyed visiting some of the many nearby features, like Jay Peak, Lake Willoughby, Big Falls Gorge and Eagle Point WMA. But it was always great to come back to Billings Point at the end of the day!
