The Blue Ridge Mountain Renovated Getaway

Ideal for families. Located in a charming community with 24/7 police, heated pool in Summer, hiking trails, and lake access. Summer actives include a visit to Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and of course our many shops. You can go golfing, swimming, water tubing, rafting, fly fishing, zip line, pan for gems, horse back riding, take a ride on Tweetsie Railroad or go wine tasting.

Winter actives include skiing, tubing, and ice skating at either Sugar Mountain Resort or Beach Mountain Resort. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended in the winter in case of snow or ice.

We recently finished completely renovating our kitchen and had another large renovation to our home in 2018, including updating the bedrooms and bathrooms on the main floor and finishing the basement to add a bedroom, bathroom, and rec room. Our home has 3 bedrooms, with 1 queen bed and two with full beds, and a large loft with 2 twin beds (day bed and trundle). There are 3 full bathrooms as well. Fully equipped kitchen with a dinning room table for 8. There are 3 decks (one off of the loft, one off of the master, and one covered deck at the entrance) so you can enjoy the outdoors. We have a propane grill, but do not stock propane regularly. If the tank is out, there is a dollar general close by that does exchanges.

High speed wifi, HD tv with roku, Xbox one, and board games included. The rec room also has a ping pong table and another HD TV with roku.

Our house is located in Linville Land Harbor in Newland, NC. Community amenities include junior size olympic pool (note, the pool pass only provides access for 5 guests at a time), golf course, tennis courts, hiking trails, and a 45 acre lake.

Please note if staying on weekends, trash will need to be taken across the street from the neighborhood to the neighborhood’s dumpster.

Great value in a quiet location!
We enjoyed a 3 night stay and can say it matches the pic and details given. Extremely quiet even though there are other houses around. Good location for the Grandfather, Linville and Sugar mt areas. Community facilities were nice and the kids loved them. Steep stairs going down to basement and small kitchen that matches pics. Dining table much larger than pics and sat 6 comfortably . We enjoyed our stay. Host was very prompt In replies

4th at Mountain Cabin
Had a great 4th of July week in Linville Land Harbor with family and extended family who own home in LLH. Pros: spacious and outside covered porch, washer/dryer, xtra fridge. Cooler temps, beautiful lake area. Cons:abnormally high temps wo A/C. Owner was responsive to questions. Golfcart parade and wonderful fireworks added to our stay.

Destination Wedding
Property was as advertised, well maintained and well stocked with bathroom supplies. Towels, wash clothes, toilet paper are often sparse, but not at this cabin. This cabin is located in surroundings and we particularly liked that it is a bit secluded on a smaller road…super quiet and has nice covered deck with picnic table. Book it … you won’t regret it.

Centrally Located Clean & Functional Home
As frequent visitors to the Blue Ridge Mountains, we loved our stay at this home. The community is quite safe and clean. The house was very functional with plenty of bedding towels kitchen ware with an open layout perfect for kids and adults alike. Most of all the owner was highly communicative, we will most certainly be back!

Great place but little disappointed
We all enjoyed the stay. Loved the fact that each room had its own bathroom. 10 to 15 mins drive to everything. A little disappointed that the pipe in the basement busted due to a winter storm week before we checked in. So part of the wall was torn down to fix the pipe. They covered it with brown paper and the paint on the floor was peeling. I understood the situation but I was worried for my family's health. That was the room we was staying in. The downstairs basement. Also the bedsheets was not clean looking. On our bed atleast. No one else said anything about their sheets. I did mentioned it to John. I know it's not his fault. Good workers are hard to find. I had asked John if he had a vaccum at the cabin. He informed me that he did not have one there. Couple of days later he texted me and told me that he got one at the cabin now for me to use.

Relaxing, quiet and peaceful
We celebrated my 49th birthday this past weekend. The convenience of a variety of restaurants that were affordable made it much more enjoyable. We cooked breakfast and had snacks and made tea. We had a little hiccup but Braxton was quick to respond and save the day. We will be back.

Really enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay and the local wineries. It was perfect. I would just add some ice trays to the freezer is the only thing I can say we missed and they may have been some just couldn’t find any. I hope to stay again. Thanks for sharing your place. 🥰

Spring break getaway With Friends
There was plenty of space for two adult couples and two teen children The Loft is cozy for two couples to hang out and have drinks after dinner the rooms are adequate the downstairs is perfect for team children to have their little party and activities video games ping pong and whatever the neighborhood is really cool would be better in the middle of the winter and or the middle of the summer as we came at a awkward time because of High School's spring break there wasn't much snow on the mountain but we did have good weather and we enjoyed ourselves with company we did Grandfather Mountain The Swinging Bridge in Alpine Slide the kitchen is very adequate for cooking in your own meals as we did nothing negative to say it was very relaxing

We love this house for our stay, the property is so much more than the descriptions and pictures give credit for. We hope to return even in the summer months! Our children loved it also and we had plenty of room for our family of five. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great stay!
Home is small, but nice. If children stay in the loft you can hear all movement when you are trying to sleep. Other than that it was nice. Owner was very fast to communicate with any answer to questions. Close to ski resort and other activities. Would stay again!

Clean and functional
The house is cozy and functional. The main TV is in the loft space, so our elderly family member was not able to access. Bedrooms are pretty good size. Kitchen is tiny -- so not for an elaborate cooking (no toaster but with waffle and pancake makers). Basement bedroom bed does suffer from "canyoning" so not the most comfortable for a couple.

Magical weekend with the fall foliage
The property was laid out well with three levels, so everyone had their own space. Three full bathrooms were really helpful, too. We had a fantastic weekend and the location was central to everything we wanted to do. THANK YOU!!
