MALLARD COTTAGE is a great place for couples to spend quality time together away from the stresses of daily life. It is also very popular with honeymooners and couples who want to celebrate special events such as wedding anniversaries and reunions.


DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY

This cute little cottage with vaulted post and beam ceilings features a well equipped kitchen and a tiled bathroom with shower, shampoo, liquid soap, conditioner and hair dryer. The bedroom has a queen bed and a door leading onto the spacious wrap around deck which boasts stunning views across Robert Treman Park towards Ithaca.

There is a pull out couch in the living area for a THIRD PERSON at an additional cost.

High speed internet and a 32' TV screen with sound bar for streaming movies and playing music are available.

The deck is equipped with a small gas grill, chaise lounge chairs and a dining set with sun umbrellas.

Well behaved and socially adjusted PETS are welcome. Dogs must be dog-friendly and people-friendly. They may roam our premises unleashed, swim in our pond and run on our large lawn.

Please note that breakfast is NOT provided!

Mallard Cottage is powered by solar energy and green practices are actively observed.

Great location - very restful and beautiful but close to lots to see
We so enjoyed our stay with Inez and Tom - best hosts ever. There when you needed them but privacy when you wanted it. Beautiful location and Inez’s gardens are stunning. Two friendly golden retrievers was icing on the cake for our Labrador - a truly dog friendly place.

Beautiful spot!
We had a great time staying at the cottage. Inez was super welcoming and flexible with our late arrival time. Th property was stunning and within easy driving distance to several great hiking trails and downtown Ithaca. We especially loved our welcome crew Floyd and Sadie!

Seriously, Dog Friendly
If you are looking for a place to bring your dogs, this is truly dog friendly. Comfortable and adorable accommodations. You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. A beautiful deck to enjoy and the scenery is plentiful. The owners are so accommodating and their dogs will be waiting for your arrival. We cannot wait to return in the summer months.

Mallard Cottage
The cottage is cozy and lovely! The fireflies were pretty spectacular and you dogs were a lot of fun! The location is great for hiking adventures and visiting the area’s waterfalls and state parks. Overall it was a wonderful bucolic respite from city.

Wonderful stay!
The cottage, with its beautiful deck, was heavenly. Sitting out each morning and evening gazing out over the flowers and countryside, was wonderful. Inez and Tom showed us around and were very helpful throughout our stay. The stay was very restorative - being surrounded by nature was just what we needed. Highly recommend!

A little slice of heaven
Inez and Tom are gracious hosts. Floyd and Sally, the retrievers, made our dog feel welcome and right at home. Theirs is a beautiful property and a wonderful retreat.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mallard Cottage. Inez and Tom are very welcoming as are their two dogs. It’s a quiet country retreat but is close to Wegman’s and several restaurants as well as Buttermilk Falls and Treman State Park. Our dog loved the time he spent at the cottage and definitely gives it a 5 dog bone rating!

Perfect in every way
This cottage is absolutely lovely. The scenery & land is breathtakingly beautiful. The cabin is perfect for 2 adults + dogs. Inez and Tom are great hosts, while still giving us plenty of privacy. The cabin is so convenient to Ithaca and some great state parks. We loved our time and hope to return some day soon!!!

Lovely and peaceful
My husband and I chose Mallard Cottage for a short Finger Lakes getaway, and enjoyed being able to bring our dog along. The property was just as pictured--beautiful, peaceful setting. It is an eco-friendly property with gorgeous gardens. Inez is a welcoming, low-key host and made us feel right at home. We recommend it highly and hope to return some day.

A lovely respite with our Dogs
We had a lovely stay at Mallard with our two greyhounds. The property is so relaxing, and the owners have thought of everything. The deck is entirely fenced in, so we were able to allow our greyhounds to sun unleashed on the deck. The views were incredible, and our dogs were instant friends with the furry innkeepers. This is also a super green rental, so you can feel good about your vacation.

Nice cottage in close proximity to Ithaca
We were visiting our daughter at Cornell during parents weekend. This place appealed to us because it was away from the crowds but only a 15 to 20 minute drive to Ithaca and campus. Place was cozy for two. Well furnished kitchen, although we did not cook. Owners were friendly. Had a great weekend.

My husband and I spent two nights with our dog at Mallard Cottage. Everything was perfect from the beautiful property and peaceful grounds to the hospitality of the owners. The cottage is about 30 minutes to most Cayuga Lake wineries and a bit less than that to Ithaca. You feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. The cottage is quiant but very comfortable with everything you need and nothing you don't. Great place for a couple and very dog friendly.

Great Stay
We loved our stay at Mallard Cottage. Communication with Inez was very timely and helpful. The property is in a very peaceful, quiet location with great views. Our dog Tess enjoyed socializing with Sally and Floyd on the large, beautiful property. And, the location was very well situated - 15 minutes to Ithaca, many state parks, wineries and breweries within 20-60 minutes, 50 minutes to Corning Glass Museum. We loved it and will be back. Country Getaway
Wonderful! Quite country setting but close to Ithaca, Treman State Park and only one half hour from Watkins Glen as well as the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. The cottage was super clean and comfortable and our deck surrounded with a beautiful flower garden with such a great view was amazing. Inez and Tom were great hosts and we really enjoyed their two Golden Retrievers, Sally and Floyd. Would definitely go back if ever in the Finger Lakes region.
