‘Must climb stairs’ was insufficient description for a property with no handrail on the stairs and highly polished, slippery treads. Also, both floors had other steps of varying heights and with no hazard markings to define the edges. I slipped and fell on the first night because of poor lighting, the lounge standard lamp having been placed in the kitchen, by the owner, because the main lights were not functioning.
Despite these issues, Gemma has gone to some trouble to make the house attractive and welcoming. The engagement of a maintenance person would be advisable but the cottage is fine for the young and fit. Lovely, peaceful countryside setting.
