Settlers Lodge sits within an area of outstanding natural beauty, universally recognised as one of the best and largest area's across Europe to view the night sky. On a clear night the stars and constellations are breath taking.
Settlers is located within Otterburn Hall Estate on an Ancient Battle Site ( The battle of Otterburn 1388). It is an exclusive park with a small number of other lodges. The perfect location to unwind, relax and explore the many sites Northumberland has to offer. Along its rugged countryside, you will find the world heritage Hadrian's Wall. Stretching 73 miles from coast to coast, it splits the landscape across some of the wildest and most dramatic countryside England has to offer, ruins of Roman forts and musemes are dotted along this area.
Stretching along the beautiful coastline, we have Bamburgh , Walkworth and Lindisfarne to name but a few of our many castles , all within easy reach of the Lodge. Should you fancy a round of golf Bamburgh Castle's golf club is often quoted as being one of the most scenic in Britain, with views of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands, the Cheviots and of course Bamburgh its self.
A trip to Alnwick with its famous castle and beautifully kept gardens, and the wonderful tree house is sure to please all ages. Just minutes from Alnwick stretches the Northumberland Heritage coastline, wild and rugged, with beautiful bays, Beadnell, Seahouses, and of course the local kippers at Craster , a sensory feast to feed the soul.
The historic and beautiful Abbey at Jedburgh, makes a wonderful day trip being only 30 minutes drive away. The market towns of Rothbury and Hexham have plenty of pubs, shops and quaint local eateries. Outdoor pursuits are a huge attraction in the area and a favourite location for walkers and adventure seekers.
Within the five-hundred-acre estate you are surrounded by nature at its best. There are two lakes and the Otter-Burn in the grounds. Also an array of footpaths with stunning scenery and an abundance of wildlife close by. You may be lucky enough to spot deer, within touching distance of the lodge. Or the many and varied selections of birds including rare varieties such as buzzards. Red squirrels also frequent the area, so keep your fingers crossed you spot one on your balcony
Otterburn village is a few minutes drive away or a pleasant 20 minute walk along a footpath through the fields. The village has a castle, mill, café & village shop. It also has restaurants and bars, Le Petit Chateau is gaining national recognition as being the wedding venue to be seen at. The impressive Otterburn Castle just across the road has also completed a total refurbishment programme. The Coach House situated 100 metres from the Lodge offers an excellent menu and lounge bar.

Patio doors to large balcony area which has a spa hot tub.
Dining area -dining table for six people.
Kitchen area -kettle, toaster, nespresso machine, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. The water supply is from a natural spring.
Dining area, lounge, hallway and kitchen areas have wood effect vinyl floors.
Master bedroom - Double bed, bedside cabinets & fitted wardrobes, wall mounted tv
Ensuite large walk in shower, wash hand basin, toilet
Bedroom 2 - Double bed, bed side cabinets, fitted wardrobe.

Electric heating for cooler days, but the Lodge is very well insulated.
