This was an overnight stay for us. We arrived after the reception normally closes but we appreciated that one of the staff waited around for us to provide our keys. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was just what we needed after a long day of driving.

As a pet friendly park there was no indication of any pets having previously in the room. The Yard, pool, carpark and surrounds were neat and tidy and well maintained.

Difficult check-in
Perfectly adequate motel for an overnight stop. Only problem was check-in. We arrived during the the 2pm to 5pm window specified to find reception closed. I phoned the telephone number specified on a notice on the window, but no reply and I had to leave a voicemail message. Someone phoned me back after about 30 minutes (complicated by being in Australia and I phoned from a UK number). They told me our room number and the key was under the mat! So all OK in the end.

The property was fine but apparently they allow pets. Unfotunately we had a bad experience - the guests next door arrived with 2 large dogs, they locked them in the motel room and then left, abandoning the dogs. The dogs barked and howled for the next one and a half hours until their owners returned. We were quite worried because of the distress of the dogs. And it totally destroyed the quiet evening we were looking forward to after a days driving. Also both the wifi networks provided were very weak and kept dropping out so weren't usable.

I booked this at last minute as I was originally going to stay at a camp site but everything was booked out. I wasn’t expecting much as I could see it was a hotel / motel style of accomodation, however I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though from the outside it looked like an old hotel / motel, the rooms were renovated, the bathroom was modern and very spacious. The room itself was also spacious, it had a king size bed, couch a table and two chairs to sit at and a smart TV. The front door also had a electronic lock that was accessible via PIN code which I was given over the phone as the owner was not there at the time I arrived (I also arrived early thinking potentially I wouldn’t be able to access the room, but Rob was more than accommodating). I had my dog with me and they had a specific area at the back of the hotel which was grassed for the dogs to go to the toilet, they even provided doggie bags (even though I had my own) just in case. Overall it was excellent and I am definitely going to be staying there again. All of the sites were within a 5-20 drive and easily accessible by foot if you didn’t have a car! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
