"This was a quaint, lovely place to stay. 2 BR and 2 Baths. Loved that the woods was behind it and view thru window was peaceful. Stayed on a Friday and Saturday so was able to walk across street to the Tahquamenon Lodge and buy a yummy breakfast at very good price. They serve Sat and Sunday mornings. There is also a bar across street that serves burgers, etc. So very convenient. Had a problem with bathroom light but called and got a call back quickly. It was fixed immediately. "We came up specifically to view the Aurora Borealis and it did not disappoint! We had 2 really good nights and a 3rd that was obscured by clouds. Lots of places to view the lights, from Whitefish Pt. and to the east toward Brimley. We found a place at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River that was perfect - only about 5 minutes away. The apartment was nice, up a big flight of stairs (which was referred to as an “upstairs apartment”, but the photo only shows a few stairs and there are a lot more)...

"We loved our stay at this cottage. Finding the property was a little difficult, but once the property was found, check-in was clear with the instructions provided. The place was incredibly clean and had all kitchen amenities we needed! Beds were clean with fresh, crisp linen. Bathroom was very clean as well! "Newberry was our “hub” to visit so many sites in eastern UP. From waterfalls to lighthouses to beaches to historic sites. And even a lingering monarch butterfly that hadn’t migrated south yet. "This was a birthday weekend for my 70th birthday. I invited my two daughters their husbands and children along. Age ranges were 5 to 11+5 adults.
