We are locals and stayed here after date night. It didn’t feel like a hotel at all. Felt like I was spending the night at a friend. Very warm and “homie” type feeling. Clean and plenty of parking. Just park and either walk to local restaurants or a quick Uber ride to avoid paying for parking on or around Bloomfield ave.

I came to Montclair to visit friends for the holidays and stayed at The George because of the convenience to my friend's house. What I found was a hotel that was more like a home. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The room was cute and quiet — a little dim but it was okay. What set it apart was the staff. Lilly from the front desk was enigmatic — she became my best friend on my first trip I’ve ever taken solo. She is such an asset — willing to go above and beyond! Breakfast was great and the property is gorgeous. I will be back if I’m ever in Montclair again!

Great location! Convenient to many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond making our stay extra special.
