The East Wing at Rufford Park Lodge is a large self-catering cottage that accommodates up to ten adults and an infant in peaceful and relaxing surroundings, with a secluded courtyard featuring a private hot tub.
You will find many activities, attractions, historic buildings, museums and country parks all within easy access, or you can relax, unwind and enjoy the benefits of a soak in the hot tub under the sun or stars while spending quality time with friends or family.
The stylish interior combines original features with modern comforts, enabling our guests to experience a part of the local history without compromising on facilities.
Our dining room, lounge and courtyard all have seating for ten separately.
We appeal to many different groups including families, groups of couples, reunions, walkers, ramblers, cyclists, thrill seekers and golfers, and have often had tennis, bowls and motor sports teams from abroad attending local tournaments. We also provide accommodation during the week for business people and professionals working in the area.
The accommodation comprises a double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, and two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. One bathroom has a modern walk-in shower and the other has a double jacuzzi/whirlpool bath and a two-seater steam-shower enclosure.
The kitchen has a range cooker, microwave oven and dishwasher plus a utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a tall American style fridge-freezer providing ample storage during your stay.
There are two reception rooms on the ground floor - a dining room with an extendable oak table that seats up to ten people; and a lounge with purpose made seven seater corner arrangement and separate three seater, a Sony 42" Flat Screen TV with surround sound, and Sky Q HD with catch-up and streaming services via the WiFi. Included in our package is Netflix, Prime, Paramount, Sky Sports and Sky Cinema. Our Sky Superfast Fibre Broadband provides WiFi throughout the property via a main router and two seamless extenders for your convenience.
The dining room has French doors that open out onto decking which provides a comfortable seating area in the enclosed but ample courtyard. There is a 5/6 seater premium hot tub in one corner which is continuously heated and exclusively for your use during your stay. It is serviced by a local professional company and refreshed between each booking ensuring it is in pristine condition on your arrival.
We recommend that you bring your own beach towels and/or bath robes for use with the hot tub as it is not practicable for us to provide these. Hand towels and bath sheets are of course provided for each guest.
Rufford Park Lodge is situated in what used to be the grounds of Rufford Abbey, which is a short drive or twenty minute walk away, accessible via the private road that runs past the cottage.
