decent and comfortable stay; falsely rated
Went with my significant other to Mardi Gras and it was a great price. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel so no need for a cab only when returning home at night. Even though it was about 15 mins away from New Orleans, it was worth the price and they are under going renovation. The 2 star rating is unfair cause we had an overall great experience. I was expecting an aweful room and terrible area but it was none of that. Ty you for making our trip memorable.

Easy on and off the interstate. quick to NOLA
Decent stay but not fancy. Staff was nice and polite. Easy access to highway and doesn't take but 5 minutes to be in Downtown New Orleans, if not during rush hour. Lots of parking lot.
No hot water, no shower towels, wouldn't clean our room, room phone didn't work to call lobby, fridge didn't work and everything is ghetto about it. Just avoid staying in this hotel it also changed names and it is now called days in.
Reserved 2 rooms at this hotel for 1 night during Mardi Gras weekend because it was the most affordable and closest to the French Quarter. Check in was unorganized and they could not find my Expedia reservation for 1 of the rooms even though they were booked at the same time and paid for. They gave us rooms on completely opposite sides of the hotel from each other. There was only 1 elevator which seemed to be missing a roof. The first room we got smelled of cigarettes and was freezing cold because the air conditioner was on full blast. Strange because temperatures were in the 40's. We finally managed to stop the air conditioner but the heater would not work. The tv also did not work. When I called the front desk I was put on hold then hung up on. After a few call backs they said to come down and get a new room. 3 flights of stairs with heavy luggage later we get new keys. Check in was now a madhouse with many upset people being told they could not find their reservation. 2nd room was better, smelled of bleach instead of cigarettes and everything worked. The pool was covered with a dirty tarp and everything on the property just seemed to be in a state of disrepair. Also this is no longer called the Econo Lodge...the sign on the building says Days Inn. Very confusing and uncomfortable stay.
The place can definitely use a make-over. The staff was not at all courteous. The bathroom door wouldn't close. Cleanliness is sub-par at best. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Good for price
First, this hotel is listed as econolodge, but is now a days inn. This caused confusion when getting to our hotel. It wasn't a bad stay otherwise. Tub didn't drain isn't but it exceeded my expectations.

It wasn't all at, plus it has three names known as days inn, Econo lodge, inns and suite so I don't know what the real name is. But its good for one night stay.

Near pier for night before cruise
Close to pier for night before pier. We found out later that parking package was available if we wanted to leave car there during cruise and be shuttled to the ship. Considering parking delay, might have been a good value.
Check in was quite slow because hotel had just changed to new ownership and employees were apparently not familiar with Holiday Inn system. But they were friendly and provided a room before the advertised check in time.
Nice breakfast with many options. Attached restaurant was closed and not many nearby choices, but found a Twin Peaks approximately 2 blocks away in Mini-mall.
It was affordable and comfy. The tub was clogged but the maintance man came within minutes and fixed it. The staff mentioned that almost all the rooms tub were clogged so I'm guessing the hotel needs some tlc. The staff in the office were kind of off but they got the job done
I was fine with the cleanliness and service for the stay. The shuttle experience back from the port was not a good experience. I was disappointed by it and lied to by staff at desk. The shuttle to the port was great just the return was bad.
When we arrived had to wait one hour to finally get into room. They had not received the reservation from hotel's com. There were four other people in the lobby with the same problems. Room was cheap but they need more help on desk at time of check-in.
We stayed 10-8-15/10-9-15. I was worried about the reviews but was very surprised when we arrived. The hotel staff was nice and my room was very clean and comfortable.
well the room was semi clean. the shower rod was in a v shape. there were cigarrette burns on the night stand and bleach spots on the carpet. the tub was stained and there was a hole in the wall behind the bathroom door. i took pictures so to not be charged for all the previous damages made to that room. the bed was comfy though. the sign has quality inn but when i ordered the room online, it said econo lodge, so i had a hard time finding the place.
