Beautiful room and hotel. Staff is friendly and check-in was quick. I will only say, the surrounding area is really noisy at night so if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend staying close to time square! The windows feels like they aren't even there as you can hear everything that happens outside. Also, having a proper temperature regulator would be appreciated as my room was particularly always too hot and the heater never turned off or put cool air out despite putting the settings for it.

Everything was going well despite the loud noise all night from some kind of metal continuously hitting something and the air conditioning not working at all. When I reported it to reception, they only said they would check on it and mockingly asked if it was too hot in my room. Even so, we just needed a place to sleep, and it wasn’t the worst part of the experience. The real issue was that on the last day, we had no hot water, couldn’t shower, and the water was freezing cold, while the city was at -3 degrees Celsius. Other reviews mention the same issue with the hot water, and I didn’t believe it until I experienced it myself. If you’re looking for a supposedly budget-friendly option—which isn’t that affordable either—in Times Square and just need a place to sleep, it’s fine. However, if you’re looking for comfort and access to all the promised amenities, this isn’t the place. It’s unfortunate because the hotel only needs some care and investment.

Por el costo, esta bien y mas por la ubicación. Asimismo, no se por que no ponen botellas de agua . Si se escucha todo, asi que solo lo recomiendaria para llegar a dormir y huir. El elevador es super pequeño.

I liked the Gallivant and would stay there again but they charge you $50 for a slightly earlier check in. You can always wait that 1 hour, but the room is ready and it appears that the only reason for the $50 is for the money. I understand the need for profit but it seems harsh towards a customer that you would like to keep. No hair dryers in the rooms but the very kind housekeeper brought me one very quickly.

Everything was as expected and the staff were completely helpful at all times. Our room was great compared to the room we had previously stayed in elsewhere in New York and did not need any comments making about it. The only small negative was the sink tap on the bathroom was detached from the sink and I was worried about it potentially leaking as it was flopping about as you turned it on and off. Aprt from that we were very happy with our stay at the Gallivant ans would recommend it.

Great hotel. Fab position close to Times Square and in the theatre district. The hotel was very clean, modern and inviting. The facilities of our room were brilliant. We couldn’t use the balcony due to construction work taking place but it didn’t detract from our wonderful stay there.
