Great location, friendly staff. You are not paying for Hyatt so for the money it is good value. The elevators are a pain...heavily used by the staff, skipping floors etc - expect a 5 minute wait at certain times of the day.

We stayed in a king landmark city view and wow! It was incredible. We were in room 3504 and waking up and falling asleep to the view was wonderful. The staff was attentive and friendly. We had no issues catching the elevator, as all four were up and running. Stay in Chelsea was a wonderful choice and I would absolutely stay in the Motto Chelsea again if I find myself visiting NYC again!

We only had to stay here for one night. The hotel itself is not bad but the hot water was not working in our room shower and when we called to get it fixed no one ever showed up. We got tired of waiting as we had to check out. We told them at the front and whoever they sent lied and said it was done. They did take off service fee charge for the inconvenience.

Our family truly enjoyed our three night stay at Motto in Chelsea. The room had two sets of built-in bunk beds and we really liked each having our own cozy space. The hotel and room were nicely updated and very clean. Staff was super friendly. We walked or took Uber/subway easily all over the city.

While the hotel itself and food was great there were issues with the housekeeping services. We were given watered down body wash and liquid hand soap and the cleaning crew didn’t speak English so there were moments that made us extremely uncomfortable, the crew pushing open the door trying to get inside our room while we were in there and didn’t request or need cleaning….
