While the apartment is non-smoking, and it doesn't smell like fresh smoke, I can tell you - as a former smoker myself - that a smoker definitely lived in this apartment and it smells like stale cigarette smoke, which clung to my clothes once I got home. The scented candle smell was not able to mask the cigarette smell. Also, as mentioned in someone else's review, the hot/cold water adjustment for the shower is a nightmare and I have no idea what is going on with it. Only my final shower for which I didn't even turn on the cold water turned out to be a good temp and pressure. The other two showers were either too hot, too cold or I couldn't get the pressure up at the right temp. And it took a lot of time to even make it usable. Other than that, the linens were clean, the floors were clean, it had a reasonable bed and the location is convenient. It's a lower budget, older, not-in-great-shape apartment. On my 2d day I noticed it had been offered for a lower price. The higher price I paid was probably too much but for the 99 I saw, I wouldn't have complained. If all you need is a bed in a good location and the two issues mentioned above don't bother you, you'll have to decide if the price is right. Not terrible, but next time I'll try somewhere else.
