I had a pleasant stay, and the staff was fantastic. However, the only issue I encountered was that the complimentary breakfast was only valid for one person, even though the reservation was for two. This was the first time I experienced such a policy.

Phone in room didn’t work. They were supposed to fix but never did. Stayed 4 nights and only had housekeeping once even though we asked for it. Got extra blankets(they looked like heavy sheets) and they were taken away the one time they serviced the room. Close to a lot of stuff but would choose different place next time.

The bathroom was dirty. Long black hair in the tub and on floor. Watching the maid clean the floor, I suspect it was from the mop. Hair was corse and long and it was there (or a new location) the entire time. Elevators also crowed with hotel staff going from room to room with cleaning supplies. Very unprofessional to have massive carts of dirty laundry being pused through the mai entrance and check in are. Will not stay here again. It was very noisy. In fareness it was the week after Thanksgiving and NYC was packed ; the hotel was very busy. They absolutely need a freight elevator for staff and laundry etc.

Where to start… Valet - put a car in, they lost the keys, then the car for 3hrs, had to trek 4 blocks to garage to collect car, only to find upon arrival that Valet (who ignore calls) found keys / car and had driven it to hotel, where they dumped it and left us to walk all the way back. Hotel Manager comped ticket, so other than massive inconvenience, at least we didn’t pay. Deluxe room - smallest room for this room rate I think I’ve had ever, no room upgrade given. It’s ok equipped, bed base in terrible condition and hella noisy, I dread to think noise that would be created if you were ‘enjoying’ your time in NYC intimately with someone. Breakfast - was good! Especially for a VIP comped perk! Drinks vouchers - good luck spending them.. Elevators - ridiculous, bar on 40th for is insanely busy from 7pm onwards, getting an elevator is a 15min wait to get to your room every time, beyond annoying, just dedicate 1 of the 3 to the bar and let guests have 2!! It’s the same at morning checkout, lobby crew constantly take up the elevators loading them full of guest stored luggage, which again means you just wait whilst they use them for hotel stuff instead of a service elevator. Late checkout - 3 days before stay offered a late checkout - paid $125 to checkout at 6pm, confirmed it at checkout - constantly and aggressively bothered by room service (inc a call to say they’d been in my room and I’d left stuff!) 9am, 10am 11am, 3pm (call) - key stopped working twice!
