When we placed our booking it took a couple attempts to reach property manager for code to unlock door. We were a bit worried, but relieved once we got response day of arrival.
We arrived around 5:30pm, used the code that was provided and flabbergasted to find someone else’s open bag on the bed and clothing on the floor. We quickly shut the door and placed outreach to the property manager.
After a couple calls we called an alternate contact that was provided on the primary property contact’s voicemail box message. We were finally able to connect with someone, named Pam, whom verified we were the ones that were suppose to be there and she was uncertain why someone else’s belongings were in room.
We were provided with the option to either sit there and “wait and see” or to stay in a “nearly identical cabin” 2 doors down. Not wanting to wait and see what we may encounter, or waste vacation time, we decided to take the alternate cabin.
We were provided with a different code for the alternate cabin. The cabin was clean enough but the bathroom toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. The hot tub had an error code “ec” and was noted to have lots of foaming bubbles with either pubic hair or chest hair floating on top.
We were uncomfortable not knowing if someone else may use a code and enter into our alternate cabin. We were hesitant to leave for supper but again didn’t want to waste vacation time. For safety, we slid a dresser in front of the door while sleeping.
