Perfect set up for three couples and two young children. Clean! Beautiful outdoor area with TV, fire table and picnic table. We would stay again and recommend it to those who haven’t been!
This property is super well set up and thought out. What you see is what you get. Would definitely consider going back, but was unfortunate to lose power for 6 hours. There is no cell service available so unless you have WiFi, you’re a bit cut off. That made it really hard to connect with parties and/or to get information and contact the host.
This property was great for our Girl Scout troop’s visit to Hocking Hills. The bunks were great for the girls. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The girls had a great time in the hot tub, watching movies, playing games and roasting marshmallows. Location was about 15-20 mins from the hikes we did. We had a great stay!
The property was just as advertised, super clean, well stocked (even for a full thanksgiving spread), and perfect for our family of adults and 5 kids ranging from 3-12. The house is off the main roads so very quiet and in a beautiful farm setting, yet also a very reasonable drive to all main hiking attractions.
We had a WONDERFUL stay! The property is absolutely pristine and adorned with everything we needed! We’ve been in search for the perfect cabin for our group for a few years now and have finally found it. No more research needed next time, because we have found our spot! Thanks guys!
Property was very nice and clean. Plenty of sleeping accommodations for a large party. Kitchen is well stocked. Nice and secluded but still close enough to the attractions.
10 ladies from Indiana visiting Hocking Hills area for the first time. So much to do, so little time. We enjoyed the house so much we cancelled some planned activities just to hang out at the house and enjoy the quiet wooded setting. Don’t expect to have cell service out there and have a paper map in case your gps won’t load. The road and driveway can be challenging. Glad we didn’t drive the convertible! But the house is amazing! Well laid out, comfortable and plenty of room. We really enjoyed it and would book again.
We rented this cabin for our family Christmas. It was spacious and clean. There was a Christmas tree in the cabin which was nice. The showers were amazing! We had 12 people (8 adults and 4 children) and had plenty of space for all of us. The 16 ft table was nice for eating together, playing games, making crafts and decorating cookies. We will be returning.
The house is in great shape and provided us with our needs. There was good outdoor space for family games. The rooms were comfy.
If you are considering this place and have someone in a wheelchair please bring your entry ramp. The entries have a 4in lip preventing access without one.
Three families stayed at this property and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was perfect for multiple families with the bedroom setup and we had everything we needed for a nice weekend away. The WiFi was spotty in the unit which was actually a great excuse to stay off our phones but made it a little challenging when trying to load directions on the gps or look up things to do in the area. All in all, a great time was had by all and I would strongly recommend this property for larger groups.
12 people total, 4 kids and 8 adults visited Revive Ridge for a Thanksgiving / Christmas holiday gathering.
Listing was accurate and RR met our space needs. Just to reiterate some words of caution - Frantz Rd is a long one lane road that leads to the driveway of the property. The smell of the water is absolutely awful, it's true! But that seems to be common of the area. We picked up drinking water at the store. The odor is particularly strong when you run the hot water for showers.
There were a couple issues at check-in: The back door was wide open and the smoke detectors were chirping, but Jobie was responsive and willing to send maintenance out on a holiday; even offered to reimburse us for batteries when we said we could replace the batteries ourselves.
We absolutely loved the giant table, foosball and ping pong tables, games, and large assortment of DVDs. We were so busy with all of that, we didn't even get in the hot tub, although it was available.
Overall, Revive Ridge was what we wanted - a space large enough to accommodate us all comfortably and far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to drive to do activities.
The good: house was perfect for our group of 3. Nice yard, nice covered patio, wonderful fire pit. House came with lots of games and plenty of outdoor seating. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were really nice. House was clean. The layout of the house was perfect with 3 king rooms and 2 bunk rooms.
The bad: the water - the water smell was so terrible. It was an extremely strong sulphur smell (rotten eggs) that most of our group didn’t shower all weekend. I have smelled sulphur water but this was really bad. Definitely need to bring bottled water and they really need to get some sort of filtration for the water.
The hot tub wasn’t all that clean. Lots of debris at the bottom and pretty cloudy
WiFi - wasn’t great.
Beautiful secluded area and newer lodge style cabin. Perfect for family groups. Loved the sleeping arrangements of a private master, two king rooms each connected by Jack and Jill bath to a four bunkbed room. Large comfortable public areas to enjoy family cooking, eating, games, movies and conversation. TVs on the outdoor patio, great room and bedrooms. WIFI okay for basic calling, text, email; but not sufficient for streaming. All TVs had access to Direct TV satellite but limited content. Hot tub was well maintained. Propane grill and fire table available on the covered patio. Property listing is accurate. About 30 minutes from many Hocking Hills State Park trails. Road access is narrow and gravel. We had two SUVs and one large sedan. We all managed fine, but weather was good. If heavy rain or snow - a high profile 4 wheel drive vehicle might be needed. We had groceries from Kroger conveniently delivered at beginning of stay. We did get off to a rocky start as the scheduled cleaning before our arrival had not been completed as expected. The host was very responsive, apologized and sent someone immediately to correct the issue. Because of their responsiveness and professionalism I would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend!
