We had an extremely great time at this rental house and were blown away how the layout of the house provided all our conveniences. It was clean spacious and beautifully arranged as seen in pics online . It was our mountain escape dream and we would definitely recommend and stay here again .

Peaceful Getaway

Top notch in every way!
We've stayed in a number of VRBOs and none have been as well-appointed and welcoming as this Mountain View Escape home. Privacy and space, while close to wonderful towns and places to explore. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Asters place was awesome. Her home has everything you could possibly need in a NY cabin rerteat and then some. The place is meticulous and very nicely furnished. We had a wonderful time and will definetly be back!

Holiday weekend getaway
Wonderful long holiday weekend, visiting multiple local wineries during the day and enjoying main street New Paltz for dinner in the evenings. This property is perfect for a long weekend escape with your significant other... plenty of space, huge yard, beautifully renovated cottage. We look forward to a return visit!

Wonderful getaway
The location was beautiful - open sky for star gazing (when it wasn’t rainy) and a great yard for us to give Cully a good romp. The home is comfy and stylishly decorated. Aster was a very generous hostess and very welcoming. We hope to be able to come back again.

Perfect retreat!
This house is beautifully designed with every detail thought out. Everything you need to cook is available and the bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed the mountain views and adorable ground hog that comes out each morning. It was a perfect quiet getaway just 10 minutes from restaurants in New Paltz.

Perfect spot for a hiking vacation!
We had an excellent stay at this cabin. Check-in and checkout were smooth and easy. The interior was super cozy, well-decorated, and very clean, with an impressively well-stocked kitchen. Almost all the major hikes in the area were 10-15 minutes away, and New Paltz was just as close. Aster was very responsive and gracious as a host, and even allowed us to stay a few extra hours so we could watch the solar eclipse from the backyard. Only regret was not making use of the fire pit.

An amazing, relaxing weekend at the perfect cabin!
We went for the weekend to get away with our pup and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay!! If you’re thinking about booking don’t hesitate. Aster was very communicative from the point I booked and check in and out couldn’t be easier. The home is beautiful. From the moment you step in you feel relaxed in this cozy cabin. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need during your stay. We will be back and recommend the cabin to family and friends!

Perfect in every way!
We travel around the northeast to compete in dog sports with our dogs and we have stayed in many rentals. This rental was, hands down, the best place we’ve ever stayed! Beautifully decorated, fantastic shower, enormous comfy bed, lovely yard. If we come back to the area next season, we will definitely rent again (so long as they will have us!).

Five star experience!!! We enjoyed our stay in Aster’s beautiful home. The furnishings were gorgeous and host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The house had everything you would expect in a rental and more! It was fun watching the deer come up and eat the pears that had fallen off the tree. We had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay here again!!!

I felt like I was staying in a HGTV giveaway home. The house itself is so amazingly beautiful with mountain views in the back. But ontop of that is all of the thought that went into making it feel like a home. This is by far one of the BEST places I ever stayed in.

Quaint Cottage Paradise
Our stay at this quaint cottage was an absolute delight! The attention to detail in the decor and amenities made it feel like a true home away from home. Great Stay in New Paltz
The home appears to have been recently renovated and is immaculate. A lot of thoughtful interior decorator touches along with a new wood deck and fire pit area allowed us to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Would have liked to have been the first to break in the brand new grill, but took advantage of the pantry full of snacks instead!

Charming cottage with a great view
We visit the Hudson Valley at least twice yearly for friends and outdoor/cultural activities, and I'm thrilled to find Mountain View Escape! It is a cozy, quiet, stylish cottage with everything one needs for a weekend getaway--coffee, wine glasses, an efficient kitchen (although I did no cooking!), a comfortable bed, and lots of outdoor seating to take advantage of the view. We will be back!

Absolutely Fabulous!
The cottage is very comfortable. Nicely equipped kitchen, great king size bed, wonderfully stocked pantry and fridge (did I eat too many Klondike bars?), and beautiful deck with a peaceful viewi and atmosphere. On our next visit, we will definitely try out the fire pit. It was a comfort to return to the cottage after our day hiking trips, and the Things You Should Know binder led us to some great food.

Perfect Getaway
What a gem!!! This property was beautiful & private & near so many great places. The communication was great. We were celebrating a big anniversary & walked in to find a beautiful present waiting along with food, snacks, drinks & wine. The views & sunsets were magical. The comforts from the bed to sheets to shower & more were 5 star. Hope to get back soon.
