Summary:
Restored 170-year-old mansion with 6 bedrooms / 5.5 baths that span two floors and over 4,800 square feet. Perfectly tucked in a quiet residential street yet close to everything the city has to offer. Walk down Frenchmen Street and explore New Orleans like a local on your way to the French Quarter or relax in the private backyard with a new heated pool, hot tub, and grill. Please refer to hand drawn floor plan for accurate depiction of bedroom count and layout.

The Space:
This historic home is on featured on the historic register and features all its impressive original architectural features that are tastefully furnished and decorated with contemporary features grand arches with 12 foot ceilings, two artist murals, glamorous chandeliers, historic crown molding and restored hardwood floors throughout. The space is furnished with local New Orleans antiques curated for the right amount of Southern charm and comfort.

Each bedroom features a bit of modern luxury with casper mattresses, a seating area, plush down comforters and both memory foam and down pillows to allow for a good night’s sleep

The guests have exclusive access to the property during their stay including gated parking on site.

The Neighborhood:
The house is safely and conveniently located in the Marigny. Frenchman Street (better known by the locals) boasts unique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants which will distract you on your quick 10-minute walk to the French Quarter. There, you can then take in the only riverfront views of the Mississippi River from Jackson Square, listen to jazz, and explore the local French Market. There is a Walgreens, Robert’s grocery store and Starbucks all within the block.

Getting Around:
The area is safe to walk around and has many bustling restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Taxis and ride shares are also a great way to get around. Distance to the following:

French Quarter: 15 minutes by walking
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport: 25 minutes by car
Convention Center: 12 minutes by car
Tulane University: 15 minutes by car
Streetcar Access: 10 minutes by car to Howard Ave at Carondelet Entrance

Terrific for family gatherings, or to come and visit NOLA for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, etc.

Weekend Getaway
A beautiful home that accommodated 6 couples very easily. The location was excellent with being within walking distance to the music and fun that New Orleans has to offer. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

This property is really special- it has a unique New Orleans vibe, wonderful decor, lots of period features and plenty of space for a large group. The communication from the host was excellent. It was in walking distance of lots of wonderful bars and restaurants as well as Frenchman and Bourbon. The outdoor space was a real bonus and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and swimming in the pool.

The house was amazing. What a beautiful place to stay and reconnect. Away from the craziness of Bourbon street yet close enough to walk there when we wanted. Grocery store right there on the corner! It was lovely.

A historic stay in a historic manor

The house is a New Orlean's classic beauty, located within walking distance of the French quarter. Large comfortable bedrooms with excellent mattress'. Great hangout kitchen area. Nice pool and big hot tub. It was a nice place to come home to!

Truly special location
Our large family (aged 4 - 83) stayed for five nights in October. The house was perfect and offered something for everyone to enjoy! Tucked away from the chaos, we found everything we needed within walking distance. The house has that true New Orleans feel with plenty of vintage touches to offset the modern conveniences. We enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor spaces - the pools, the porch and the deck, and the kitchen perfect for entertaining.

Magnificent Mansion in Marigny
Beautifully restored 1848 historic mansion in a perfect location walkable to everything. Huge bedrooms each with it's own bathroom and very comfy mattresses. There was talk amongst my friends of making this a yearly rendezvous location :)

Girls weekend!
Great house and location. This was a perfect house for 8 of us to enjoy NOLA. Walking distance to FQ with a Starbucks and Robert’s Market just a few doors down. Rooms were big, Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!

Quintessential NOLA
Perfect for a large group/ family, can’t say enough great things about this house. Classic NOLA beauty. Gorgeous Details abound. . Everyone had very private quarters. our elderly parents were perfectly situated on the main floor, no stairs was a bonus for them. The kids loved the pool. Sitting on the porch under the fans with our sazeracs and bloody mary’s was a Marigny delight. Perfect location for that quiet neighborhood vibe, yet a short walk to everything. St. Roch’s market has delicious food. Delicious bakery & Grocery around the corner, the quarter is 15 min walk. Excellent find, definitely booking again & again ! Missing it already. :) Marcia & Michael are superior hosts who were very responsive with any queries we had.

Accommodations were great, location ideal. The place was everything and more as advertised. We had 10 guests, 4 couples and 2 singles. The place is advertised as 5 bedroom / 5 bath but actually there is a sixth bedroom with a shared bath. Worked out great for the two singles.

Second Stay
We rented the house for the second year over Christmas. The house is in in a good location near the French Quarter. There were enough bedrooms to accommodate our family and all were comfortable. The kitchen/ dining are is spacious and well equipped. The only negative this year was the fact that the hot tub didn’t work the entire time we rented the house because the part needed to fix it wasn’t available until the afternoon that we checked out. However, I notified the owner who apologized and gave me an appropriate partial refund of my rental fee. I would definitely rent this house again.

Great Place
Good location, walked to food store and Frenchmen street. On the border of a sketchy area so only walk during day time. Was $10 Uber to Bourbon st and the French quarter. Pool was great, house was great, only downside was two of the bedrooms AC units weren’t working well and it was hot. Overall it was a great location and home. We were 10 women celebrating for a bachelorette party, ages 25-60.

Very cool, historical property
The property is just as listed. If you like old charm and unique spaces then this is place for you! Our stay was short so there were no problems with the home other than the tv remotes missing batteries, the doors were left open when we arrived so there were lizards and frogs in the home, the home could stand to be deep cleaned in some areas like handrails and high touch areas (visible dirt on these surfaces).

Birthday Treat!
The house had everything and even more than we expected! I celebrated a birthday but my friends and family all felt as if they were being pampered. The only thing I wish was that I had reserved 2 weeks instead of 4 days! There is also a cafe several doors down that reopened our first day. It serves breakfast and lunch (and BEIGNETS), Needless to say the location was excellent! The house/mansion is located in a nice quiet neighborhood just steps from Frenchman St and the French quarter.
