Lower Garden District Beauty! Close to Downtown, Convention Center

All the coolest original Arts and Crafts details with modern fixtures and finishes. A true one of a kind space. Restored and furnished by a published designer. Previously used as a guest house by it's owner and finished at levels of a fine home. Amazing custom and architectural details throughout.

Two bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds and two full baths. Very large living room with cathedral ceilings, custom woodwork and hardwood floors as well as a sofa that converts for extra sleeping. This very spacious apartment just underwent a meticulous restoration with marble baths, English plumbing fittings, vintage O'Keefe and Merritt range, and includes antiques as well as modern pieces. The 2nd bedroom is on the 2nd floor in a loft space. Includes rear yard with a large deck for outdoor seating.

Located on a quiet less traveled area in the Lower Garden District and walkable to many great restaurants, coffee shops, museums, Magazine Street, St. Charles streetcar, French Quarter, and a beautiful walking park.
All linens, glassware, cookware, comfortable upholstery, vintage furniture pieces, quality towels and linens and a washer and dryer in the apartment give you all the comforts of your own home.

Ample parking is readily available right in front of the house. Please ask about pets.

Quick visit to Nola
Good location & comfy little place. I enjoyed sleeping in the upstairs retreat. Quick Uber to bourbon st one day & Dome for Eagles vs Saints game the other. Walking distance to some nice breakfast spots. Wifi iffy at best.

Nice, If You Don’t Plan to Sleep
Positives: The apartment itself is at the back of a house which has been converted into a triplex. The photos of furnishings are accurate. It’s beautifully decorated, historic. If you don’t mind a walk, location is fine. Museums are nearby, about half a mile. Riverwalk or French Quarter, 2-mile walk. Negatives: The shower handle in the master/downstairs bathroom was broken, so it was nearly impossible to turn the shower on and once we did, we couldn’t control temperature. Impossible to shower upstairs for adults as no one above 4-feet tall can stand in the loft. By far, the most frustrating part of the stay, due to which we checked-out early, is that an outdoor light from the neighboring house shines directly into the downstairs bedroom and flickers on/off every three seconds. All night long. Despite a shade in the window, it was impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, no one on the sofa bed or in the loft could sleep either, as the 6-foot long living-room window faces the interior of the adjacent apartment, so when the neighbors came home and turned on their lights at 1AM, the light shone directly into the living room and loft, which has no door. When I contacted the host about the shower, she offered to send someone next day. When I told her about the lighting issues and how impossible it was to sleep, she never replied. I realize it’s an issue with neighboring properties but it greatly impacts the quality of the stay to the point that we left and lost money.

Expected good but this was great
We loved our stay. The home was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for us to feel very comfortable. Everything we need was there. The location was better than we could have asked for. We loved walking to get dinner and coffee. Walmart was a short 5 minute drive. The listing was accurate but honestly I wish I could have given it more than a five star rating. I would love to come back and would most definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone who we know

Great place to stay
I booked the house for my partner and I, as well as another couple. The place was in a fantastic location with great food and vibe in the neighborhood. Incredibly safe area too! The host was super responsive and great answering questions or issues we went to her with during the stay. The house itself was great overall, there were some minor tweaks that can be made to make it even better. First thing is that the location of the checkin wasn’t super clear, but the host directed us to the spot quickly. Second, the fixture in the main bathroom downstairs was stuck on hot water for the first few days. My partner was able to fix it a few days in. Lastly and probably biggest issue was the WiFi. We had a ton of issues with getting connected to, and staying on the internet, which for people coming into town for a gaming tournament was a huge issue. In order to do anything we had to connect to our mobile hotspots. Honestly those are hopefully easily fixable issues that would make it a 5 star for sure. Once the WiFi is fixed, I would definitely stay there if the event we went to is held in NOLA next year!

Owner is extremely nice and accommodating. The property was just as described and in a nice location. Property was very nice, very cool, and very clean. New Orleans is very hot and humid and some of the older homes cannot stay cool. However, this property has an excellent a/c unit!

great stay in new orleans!
This place was perfect for our wedding stay! We got married a short walk away and loved everything about this place. We rarely used the upstairs room (since the first floor was so much more spacious than we thought it would be. Dog friendly was a huge plus. We would stay again on future trips!

The host was very responsive and quick to answer when we needed a thing or two! Would 100 percent stay there again it was close to everything and once again, we enjoyed exploring and drinking our way through town! Thank you!!!

Beautiful stay
Our stay was perfect. A great homey space off the crazy beaten path of NOLA. Close enough to everything to be convenient and far enough away to leave the crazy behind. So many cute nuances made this place beautiful in its own way. From the lighting fixtures to the oven to the loft .. the whole place was just wonderful.

Perfect location, amazing stay!
The place made our trip to Nola perfect. It’s close to everything, but feels tucked away on a quaint residential block. The apartment itself is super cute, clean, and has everything you need, including a nice outdoor space. No issues getting checked in, and the stairs to the loft area have been reworked and are no longer steep as mentioned in a previous review. The loft area serves as more than just a bedroom—it’s a great space in itself with a bathroom, shower, and closet. Hosts were accommodating and responsive.

Good but not great
Kitchen was well equipped. Access to downtown was good. No problem with Street Parking, very easy. For two people, the house is good. But I would not send anybody up those stairs to the second floor. The stairs are not safe and it is very hot up there. Very spotty Internet - only available in the master bedroom. Was not even able to download emails with the week Internet.

Great Place w/ Charm
Great location just out of the craziness of the quarter, but walkable if you are like us and like to get some exercise in to work out all the amazing food NOLA has to offer. Only thing to be wary of there is no door to the upstairs bathroom so make sure whoever is staying up there is ok with going to the bathroom and showering in the open.

Great location
The house is in a great location between the Garden District and the Warehouse District, right off Magazine Street. We could easily walk to most places or take the bus/street car. The house looks exactly like the photos and had everything we needed. The second bedroom upstairs might not be suitable for everyone because of the steep stairs and sloping ceiling, but we had no issue with it and the bed was very comfortable. There was ample street parking right outside the house. The host was very responsive, and check in was super easy.

NOLA getaway
Quiet neighborhood. Place was comfortable with Air conditioning. Tucked behind a main house. A little in the middle of no man's land so a good mile + walk in either direction put you in french quarter or more in the heart of the garden district. Parking was really easy and plentiful and free on the street. St. charles street car was a few blocks up with helped in traveling. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice. Great Shower. Owner was very responsive. Steps to loft were a little challenging with luggage, but otherwise perfect for our teenage daughter.

And there was a nice little yard for our dog. The place was well stocked and we would definitely stay here again.
