One bedroom New Orleans style cottage located on the Petite Anse Bayou near Rip van Winkle Gardens, Avery Island and Jefferson Island. It is the ultimate get away for peace and relaxation while being close to what South Louisiana has to offer. Enjoy the great food and experience the charm of the Cajun culture. Experience the calm of nature while sitting along the bayou listening to the birds, watching the ducks and fishing if you choose.

Guests have access to the entire property, boat landings/dock. Boathouse is currently under renovation until further notice
Other things to note
The cottage is located in the heart of French Louisiana. Enjoy the many delicious restaurants offered in Abbeville, Lafayette and New Iberia. Two hours away is New Orleans and several famous plantations on the river road. There is Oak Alley, Houmas House, Laura and Whitney Plantation. Lafayette is home to the Acadian Village and Vermilionville.
Closer to the cabin, is the famous Tabasco farm and factory. The Jungle Gardens are a sight to behold. The bird sanctuary is not to be forgotten. It houses many species of breathtaking birds. In the opposite direction, is Rip Van Winkle Gardens which offers many spectacular photo opportunities. Enjoy a great meal at Cafe Jefferson while you are there. Shadows on the Teche, built in 1834, is located 6 miles from the cabin. Tours are available.
The cabin sleeps 4 (one bedroom and a sleeper sofa). There is a beautiful deck with a covered porch to enjoy the breathtaking outdoors. The kitchen is equipped with a commercial oven and stove for those that enjoy their hand at cooking. There is a fire pit along the bayou. A canoe, two kayaks are available with children’s life vest. Fishing poles are also available for the angler at heart. Washer and dryer are available in the bottom area.
