This house is a one-of-a-kind from the exceptional wood work through-out the home from local cedar trees. The trees that surround the property and tranquil setting give privacy, peace and beauty. Sit and enjoy the sound of the stream flowing and birds singing from the decks that overlook Divide Creek. If you want to be active and take in all this area has to offer or just get away and enjoy some R&R, this is the house for you! The Cedar house is conveniently located 4 miles from I-70 Corridor giving easy access to Glenwood Hot Springs Pool/Iron Mountain Hot Springs Pool (29 minutes), Glenwood Adventure Park (25minutes) Sunlight Mountain (45 minutes), Other Skiing at Aspen, Snowmass, Powder Horn, and Vail, Wine tasting through the vineyards of Palisade (1 hour), explore the beauty of Rifle Falls (35 minutes) Lakota Canyon Golf Course (20 minutes), White Water Rafting, Fly Fishing on the Colorado River(4 miles). The property borders BLM for a multitude of trails for all the hiking, biking and snowshoeing you could want. Hunters access BLM 2 miles up the road and 7 miles to national forest.

We loved the natural beauty of the house. The pictures we took on property were amazing. Our Familymoon started out perfect with this living space and the sound of the creek just behind the house was the best. Owners had great communication, place was clean, and it was not too far from activities.

This cabin is one of the neetest places we’ve ever stayed in Colo. it has the charm of a 1930’s cabin with enough amenities to make it very comfortable.

Remote getaway in beautiful setting
This property is a bit out of the way and rustic but very charming and we enjoyed our stay. Loved the sound of the stream at night and all of the indoor and outdoor entertaining space. There was even a ping-pong table and foosball in the unfinished basement which we enjoyed. Bring your own paddles and balls as the equipment is on its last legs.

Great stay in peaceful retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was so quiet and peaceful and great having our own space. The creek was great to be near and the fenced in yard was great to have for our dog. We would stay here again!

My husband and I were hoping for a quiet place to refresh, and we found it in this property! It was so lovely to sit on the deck and enjoy nature with the sound of the rushing creek! Communication with Charity was constant and clear! Nearby activities (Rifle Falls and horseback riding in Glenwood Springs) and delicious restaurants (Miner’s Claim in Silt and CO Ranch House in Glenwood Springs) made our long weekend perfect! Highly recommend!

Ski trip with grandchildren
Cabin was true to pictures. What a unique place. I was easy to get to actually from I70, but definitely off the beaten path. Comfortable for all of us to stay. Had what we needed ot be comfortable. When we had a fire alarm malfunction, we got a quick response to get it repaired. Would definitely recommend this cabin for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Perfect secluded retreat
We went for a relaxing girls weekend and loved it! We arrived finding deer in the back field! The house is very unique! Definitely built with love! It has plenty of outdoor space to relax and listen to the creek! It has a little reading nook upstairs for cold days that is a great view of property! The chairs however were not that comfortable but still a cute space! I booked again with my husband for summer because it has to be beautiful with everything leafed out! The host was super responsive and told us about the homes history! Great stay!

Perfect cabin getaway
My husband and I used this cabin for our elopement weekend (we eloped in rifle falls state park) and it was the perfect space. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard, and the house was the perfect space for us. Exactly as pictured, if not better. We loved that it was only 20-30 minutes to great restaurants and stuff, but felt super remote and private.

Beautiful Country Escape
What a beautiful and unique place to stay. We enjoyed hanging out there and it was a great jumping point for some places we wanted to visit in the area. My only suggestion to make it even better would be some new cookware, soap for showers, and a few laundry pods. Just small details. We loved it and would definitely stay again if we are over in that part of Colorado.

Delightful Girls' Weekend!
Three of us had a wonderful time together at this comfy home. The creek out back and the many lilac bushes were outstanding! We truly loved the house and the off-beat location was perfect for us. The alpaca Ranch outside of Silt and Glenwood's restaurants and hot springs rounded out our trip. But the favorite part of the trip was coming back to the house each night to the bright stars and sounds of the rushing creek.

Wonderful getaway!
The cabin was gorgeous, unique, perfect. We loved our stay, and would hope to stay here again on any future Glenwood trip. The home was better than the pictures. We had plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. We couldn’t stop admiring the woodwork and special touches in this cabin during our stay. I could even hear the stream from my bedroom at night. First class!!

Fantastic Cabin!
Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed! Perfect for relaxing and close enough to fun activities. It was so peaceful here! Comfortable and clean! Only one very minor thing my husband would like to see fabric softener on bedding. The static was cool to watch, but not fun for him to sleep. Thank you so much for your great hospitality and ideas on what to do!

Charming Mountain Cabin
This property is better than the pictures. We saw a flock of wild turkeys that seem to live nearby. A herd of deer were regularly grazing in the yard and nearby pastures. The creek that runs through the property is a wonderful sound to fall asleep to. The cabin is decorated in a lovely, homey way. The host was responsive to a couple things that came up and took care of it right away. We would definitely recommend Cedar House to anyone needing a little rest and quiet.

Very nice, peaceful cabin.
My family plus dogs stayed here in March. We had a great time. The cabin was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the game room and the peacefulness of it all. It was so nice falling asleep to the sound of the stream outside. My son and I drove into Aspen/Snowmass every day which was a bit of a trek (probably about 1 hr 15 min each way) but we got used to the drive quickly and actually enjoyed it as a way to wake up in the morning or decompress at the end of the day. The traffic wasn’t bad either (a little on the way back, but nothing major). All in all, a lot of bang for the buck here. Shopping is close enough - Walmart, etc. The restaurant in town “Miner’s Claim” is off-the-hook. Highly recommend it. Just make sure you make reservations. As mentioned in other reviews, cell service didn’t work for us (AT&T) but the house Internet worked great the entire time. WiFi calling worked fine too.

Birthday Celebration
We came to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday. Loved the cedar lodge! Beautiful woodwork! We were disappointed when we found remotes to candles only to realize previous guests had tried to light ALL the electric candles. It was such a quiet, relaxing stay. We enjoyed activities in the area & then coming back to the cozy lodge to have family game nights! We brought our pug and she loved the yard & lodge, she felt right at home! It was drafty but we learned after the first night to keep the bedroom door open to not get to cold. Definitely recommend this one!
