This house was built with love and hard work and it really shows. As you approach the house, you drive through a curtain of sweeping willow branches. With your first look at this beautiful richly colorful stone & stucco English Country style home, you will be delighted. A natural exposed stone concrete sidewalk winds around the entire house, with seating for two at the front entry and a large private fenced courtyard attached to the back of the house for complete privacy. You will enjoy spending many hours relaxing with family and friends in this serene peaceful retreat. Flower gardens grace every corner. Small fountain and corner bench for morning meditation.
There is wrought iron seating for 9, 2 cushioned chairs, plus a bench for three & large table with umbrella. There is a fire pit and charcoal grill for your use. Firewood is provided.
Inside, the home has an easy, laid back comfortable feeling the moment you enter into the large living room with oak floors, richly stained woodwork, and a beautiful real flagstone fireplace. A century old hand hewed barn beam accents the area between the open dinning room and living room, which adjoins a fully equipped kitchen with all new stainless appliances, granite counter & handmade antique butcher block. Dinning room has a large farm house style table with seating for 9. Access to a full bath and complete laundry room and one car garage are also on this first level. Not only is this home fully equipped with all dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee pot, coffee filters, coffee grinder, blender & cooking utensils, towels/linens, but the décor is warm and inviting, reminiscent of an English country home. Upstairs is 4 bedrooms and 2 more full bathrooms, and a large vaulted family room , where you may get away from the rest of your group for a little bit of reading or watch a movie on the new Smart flat screen TV/DVD. Roku TV. This room also has a convertible couch/queen bed and a trundle bed (2 twin). The bedrooms are relaxed and comfortable. Surprise! There is loft for the kids to enjoy with there own TV/DVD. This area can easily sleep 4 with sleeping bags you provide.

Enjoy New Buffalo Public Lake Michigan Beach which is a short 3 miles away. New Buffalo Public Beach, Michigan City Public Beach, Mount Baldy, Silver Beach & Warren Dunes State Park are all open to the public with inexpensive parking fees. There's so much to do in the area.
We are conveniently located 3 miles from downtown New Buffalo. 1 mile from Grand Beach golf course, 2 miles from Whittaker Woods golf course. 7 miles from Blue Chip Casino, Four Winds Casino is about 5 miles. Calumet trail is about 8 miles. Light house Mall outlet shopping, International Friendship Gardens, Winery tours, antique stores, farmer markets, U pick farms, romantic picnics.
We are located 60 miles from Chicago. 35 mile from South Bend In Notre Dame. Amtrak stops in New Buffalo 3 miles from the house. The South Shore train stops in Michigan City, about 8 miles from the house. An easy day trip.

New Buffalo has a slower relaxed pace in late fall and winter. We rent throughout the year. Fall and winter can be a very beautiful and relaxing time to take a break. The fall colors can be amazing. Many restaurants offer discounts. Winters can be an absolute gorgeous, serene winter wonderland. This is really the best time to kick back, relax and take some much needed time for yourself!
