Peacock Pass, our recently expanded, vintage 1950s cabin, delivers such a unique experience at Lake Dunlap. Despite recent updates, we have worked to maintain the original feel of the cabin that has been in our family for over 40 years. The stunning view, terraced lighted levels, firepit, outdoor seating, and lakefront are just a few of the neat features.
Come enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful view of the lake! We are located just a few houses down from the dam which is the deepest part of Lake Dunlap. Enjoy the view while sitting on the swing overlooking the lake. When relaxing in the evening, there will be lots of time for outdoor recreation or s’mores by the fire pit or chiminea. The lighted path to the water with the lightning bugs flying through the air provides such a memorable experience. All common areas and bedrooms have a 32 in smart TV for relaxing after your busy day! There is one DVD player at Peacock Pass. Feel free to bring your gaming system as well!
Peacock Pass has central heat and air plus an electric fireplace for added ambiance in the winter. Make yourself at home in one of our two bedrooms. The Texas Room has a queen bed with a ceiling fan, and the Peacock Room has a full bed with a ceiling fan as well. Our newly added “lake room” has a love seat, a recliner, and really provides some extra flex space. In our main living area is a queen pull out bed.
Enjoy a stocked kitchen, a charcoal BBQ grill, a stackable washer/dryer, and two living areas to spread out after enjoying everything New Braunfels has to offer. The kitchen, living, and dining are all open, with an island in the middle for preparing or serving food. At the dining table, fight for the best seats as you eat your meals or play games with friends or family. The view is incredible, especially early in the am where you can almost feel the tranquil calm. Microwave, drip coffee maker, and Keurig machine provided. We provide Keurig pods to get your first morning fix.
Peacock Pass is off the beaten path ( about 10 minutes from downtown NB) but still close to Fisher Park with splash pad for kids, Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, Gruene, and many local eateries such as Two Tarts, Clear Springs Café, Krause's Cafe, and Naegelin’s Bakery. For some day trips, head to San Antonio, the Outlet Malls in San Marcos, or the capital of Texas, Austin. There is a ton to do, and you won’t be disappointed. Book now while it is still available and come enjoy our Peacock Pass!
