Nestled neatly in the town of New Braunfels, the property is right on the river, which makes it a paradise for those wanting to enjoy nature.

Entering the house, you’ll see a space that is all about simplicity and cuteness. The open floor plan makes you feel open and relaxed, which is the goal of any vacation. The living room is equipped with a mounted flat screen television and cozy seating. The kitchen speaks of freshness, and is the perfect place for whipping up quick meals between enjoying the outdoors.

The master bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed and has an entrance to the shared bathroom. The bathroom has a double sink vanity, as well as a full tub and shower. The second bedroom includes 2 full sized beds (great for family trips!).

Whether you’re coming to the Guadalupe to fish, tube, kayak, or swim, the River Getaway will be the home for you.

Awesome river access
The backyard of the property is beautiful. The direct access to the Guadalupe River makes this an awesome place to stay with kids. We had a blast.

Girls weekend
When we arrived to the house we had to sweat while a/c was set to 83 degrees for a few hours. The house advertises like it’s river front but there is no river access and that’s why we chose the house so we could go in the water.

Almost Perfect. Peaceful and Relaxing
It was a perfect little get away and we enjoyed our stay. A few things need to be fixed. The oven door is broken so we had to be creative when cooking our pizza. The outside door gets stuck and you have to use your shoulder and give it a good push to get it open. The back door to the garage does not stay closed so we put a chair up against it as security measure. We could not figure out how to get the television on. We decided it must be broken.

Cute house,VERY DIRTY
Was a very cute house. Was extremely dirty. The light fixture over dining table was enough to make me throw up. Under the table was covered in cob webs. Kitchen cabinets were fuzzy . Had to wash all dishes before use . Walls and baseboards were also growing a layer of filth. Opened up recliners and there was a whole meal for the next guests. Light fixtures were full of dead bugs. Freezer was amazingly disgusting. I took about hundred pictures of yuck!

Great spot, we loved our time. Great spot to float or swim, perfect for the kids to explore around on their own. Bring some shade, there’s none by the river. To the management, it’s time to clean that shower curtain or get a new one. We loved our stay and hope to do it again soon.

It’s a great location for a river trip and the property managers were perfect in answering questions but they need new house keepers because the house was real dirty and trashes were all full when we arrived.

The location and the house was amazing! My family had a wonderful time! We will be back for sure. The river was beautiful our little oasis! The only thing would be to make a walkway from The house to the River bank. It’s steep Going down and coming back up.

I can't rate the property, as I never had a chance to stay. The property management company is just terrible. When filling out the rental agreement, I had 5 adults 3 small children which was over the 6-person guest limit. My fault because I didn't read carefully and didnt realize 4 to 7 year olds would matter on count. They told me I couldn't have any over 6 or would not be allowed to stay, fair enough. So i made other plans but 2 hrs before check-in, I asked for check-in info, was told I couldn't check in without proof that I made other arrangements for the extra guests. I didn't feel I should have to show this, they could have just not come at all at this point However, I rented another house on the river day of because of the info given, I did not plan on breaking any rules by bringing more than allowed. So i did send them proof 2nd rental . Then I was told if I filled out another rental agreement, they would send me the check-in info and let me stay at the house I payed for. ( I know so kind) This was about 2 hrs before checking in mind you. So I sent the agreement back and they still never sent any info at all on how to check in. I was left far from home with nowhere to stay. Luckily, the 2nd house i rented could accommodate us all. So I paid and got nothing but an email asking how my stay went, and here I am explaining. Stay away from anything Hill Country Premier manages. Over 10yrs of rentals all over the world. This was a first. Stay with owner managed properties.

Property was located right off the river in great location. The hill down to the river can be a little difficult to come down from. There are no steps or rails. Once you get down to the river there are no steps or dock of any sort to assist with entry. The house itself can use an upgrade and a deep deep deep cleaning. Linens on bed were dirty. I was a little hesitant to use any bedding or towels without washing them first. Towels smelled a little funky. Overall great location but would not stay again.

Wouldn’t Recommend or Stay Again
The location was pretty decent walking distance to a tube rental Little Ponderosas but to get to the river from the property can be very tough and there are no steps and anything to make it a smooth trip. The cleaning crew is absolutely horrible. The window seals were disowns underneath the couch. Limited supplies for showering, toiletries and washing laundry while away. The owners could put in a lot more effort and pride in their rentals for the price we paid. Definitely not worth the price. We compared other places that are much nicer and cheaper so will definitely choose another place. They offered nothing but a small Weber the pit in pictures is not usable. No comfortable outdoor furniture and nothing in the house matches looks as if they went to a goodwill of some sort to throw furniture in there. Over all find somewhere else!

Lovely spot!
Enjoyed our relaxing stay & the view of the river from the lawn, with lots of birds in the mornings especially! The house was clean & well-equipped. River access would have been a bit of a challenge for some, with a grassy slope & drop off but I think that's clear from the property description & photos.

The house was in disrepair and falling apart, it is a party spot for college kids floating the river not a place to take your family. We stayed one night bc we had nowhere else to go and moved first thing in the morning. The pictures are very deceiving and don’t show the true condition of this home.

the house was nice and well equipped with everything we needed, it was nice to have the garage to use, inside needs a deep cleaning, the top of the fridge was verry dirty, the access to the river was impossible for us because there was not any stairs and the area was too steep for both of use to be able to go to the river. the Neiborhood is nice and peaceful, we would definitely book again if there was better river access.

This place was worse than a cheap motel 6!
Our stay here was terrible. The place was so dirty, cheap mattresses that bent and squeaked so loud we couldn’t even sleep in the already crammed jam packed second room. The AC/Heater wasn’t working and the property manager didn’t respond as they stated “they were gone due to the holiday”. They ignored us and didn’t show up to fix it.! So we used our own blankets to stay extra warm and then when it was hot on one day we opened the door to cool off the house. We had to buy our own blow up mattress, toiletry supplies, and sanitize the dishes/silverware as they were dirty too. The dishwasher doesn’t close hardly unless you manually push back the two racks and hold them as you close the door, and is crazy loud wash cycle. This place was incredible gross and small accept for the master bedroom. This place should only hold 3-4 people MAX! We stayed for the amount of people it stayed it could accommodate and that was false. The toilet doesn’t even flush well. What good does this place have?? Well, that you can see the creek if you walk outside. Management is extremely unprofessional and blow off their customers when they call or email. We were hung up on too! We have had family property here for 60 years and have rented the last 15 years after selling—never would I use this property management again. We would like a partial refund as our holiday was filled with stress over all of these issues (the 2 mattresses issues, AC issues, place was dirty, ect,). I’m surprised this property management is not being investigated

It is our 2nd tine rental for our anniversary. House has deteriated since our 1st Stay. Spent my 1st night cleaning and sweeping, wiping down cabinets and counters. River access good. Quiet place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Thank you again for a wonderful anniversary getaway.

Good Location
Easy access to river outfitters. Area not too crowded. House is acceptable but could use a deep clean. The master bed needs to be fixed. The headboard leans into the mattress and the bed does not feel secure.

We had a girls trip to float the river and Visit Gruene. All were great experiences! The beds made a lot of noises but that is minor. The house was perfect and we will def be back. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and time at the river.
