"Overall, this appartment is good. Well placed on edge of town, accessible via public transport (we had no car) and great views of the river. The reception agent was brisk in his dealings with us, but overall OK on the welcome front. From the outside, the appartment isn’t going to win any awards for architecture, but inside there’s everything you need albeit in a slightly dated decor. Bed comfy, filter coffee machine and great shower and nice balcony outdoor seating. What was disappointing:...

"Der Urlaub in der Sächsischen Schweiz war sehr sehr schön! Die Anbindung der FeWo mit der Bahn im Tal ist sowohl für Ausflüge nach Dresden, wie Wanderungen in der Umgebung sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die Anreise nur mit ÖPNV war gut. Der 10-15 Minuten Fußweg unseren Rucksäcken war kein Problem, wäre allerdings mit Koffern etwas spannend geworden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind auch mit dem Zug gut zu erreichen. Vielen Dank für den netten Aufenthalt in der Sächsischen Schweiz! Ein Blick ins Gästebuch...

"Het vakantiehuis was heerlijk en mooi gelegen aan de Elbe. Het was er rustig en toch op loopafstand van bad Schandau. Met de gastekaart heb je gratis OV, dus de auto kan in de garage blijven. "

"Super property, very well equipped, and very well located to explore Saxon Switzerland. It was an easy walk to Bad Schandau if you didn't want to use, or didn't have, a car. Frau Griess, the owner, was very helpful. A wonderful holiday - especially thrilled when the deer came to visit the garden when we were on the balcony!"

"One of my favorite. This rental was like staying in a museum. The owner deals in antiques. It is in the country/small town and no traffic noise. But, it is convient to visit lots of interesting places. I hope to return some day."

"Die Wohnung liegt fußläufig zum Bahnhof und zum Edeka in Königstein. Die anliegende Straße ist eher wenig befahren. Sie glänzte mit einer enormen Sauberkeit, die ich so selten in Ferienwohnungen erlebe. Alles tip top. Das Sofa im Wohnzimmer kann ausgezogen werden, sodass eine schöne Wohnlandschaft entsteht. "Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die kleine Ferienwohnung hatte alles was man braucht. Die Sehr nette Vermieterin hat uns alles gezeigt und sie hat mit viel Liebe die kleine Ferienwohnung eingerichtet. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Bett war sehr bequem und auch die Umgebung war sehr ruhig zum entspanntem schlafen. "

Excellent-with some remarks

"Everything was fine. Excellent and friendly service Two suggestions to the manager: 1. This category of hotel usually offers tea/coffee facilities in the room- keep this standard 2.The bed was quite uncomfortable- two single mattresses of poor quality . On a king or queen bed- put a matching mattress not two put together "

"This hotel is NOT a smoke-free property! The Hotel Evabrunnern is terrible. It does NOT have air conditioning. Our room was on the third floor and we had to keep window open to try to keep the room livable, but people were smoking outside on the roof top. I complained, and we changed to a smaller room with courtyard access saying "usually people don't smoke there." Within minutes of entering the room, people were talking loudly outside (23:00 hours) and then an older German woman, who didn't speak any English, decided to smoke right next to our window. I went to complain again, but the receptionist said they can't change our room and smokers are allow to be in a courtyard. All night we didn't have good rest, sleeping in hot room with smoke. The next morning at 07:00 another German woman decided to smoke in the courtyard outside our window. Open window meant BIG BUGS in the room! The hotel needs serious renovation; it is run down with old furniture and carpet, and dirty tiles in the shower. No drinking water or a kettle is provided in the room. The towels were HORRIBLE! They felt like they were made of sandpaper. The breakfast area was very crowed, have to constantly ask for hot water to make tea. The juice and other food ran pout quickly and replenishment took some time. The two servers were doing a poor job, and there was only one SLOW coffee maker for 20 people. It was constantly running out of water and milk. The food was very limited, and there were no pastries!"
