"The property and rooms were really nice and comfortable. Location is also beautiful. Strangely, we were not able to find any staff on Sunday for the entire day. It just felt a bit remote and abandoned during our stay (mid-December). I would also recommend arriving by car. Buses only arrive to the location every hour or so. "

"Review for Hotel Schwabenwirt We stayed at Hotel Schwabenwirt for two nights and had a great experience. One highlight was the early check-in—our room was ready when we arrived, which made things very convenient. "I love this hotel, it is centrally located and accessible to to bus and rail transportation.. while, the steps up continue to be a challenge this is not a deal breaker. I enjoy my visits here and love the view at bereakfast and the friendly staff. I recommend a visit here any time. Bill "

"The property was very clean and upscale. They had a breakfast option (we didn’t use) but that looked wonderful with a good selection of fresh food items. Drinks were served downstairs near reception and it was a very comfortable and cozy environment with different seating areas with a variety of options. The receptionists were helpful, fluent in English and German, and very professional. "

"off peak season, so grateful for letting me check in at 8am. Great value for the price, room is spacious for solo backpackers, nice mountain view Toilet is clean, bed sheets and blanket are clean but a bit old Breakfast is fine for early birds, Super convenient with both train station and bus stops around, had a really nice time."

"We visited Halstatt over the Christmas holiday and fell in love with this gem of a town. While it is a bit overrun with tourists at this time of year, Halstatt Hideaway is set above the hustle and bustle and always offered a quiet escape. We stayed in the green suite and had beautiful views of the lake and town from our windows. Breakfast provided by the staff was a treat each morning.
