When I mentioned it, the guy at the reception very cheerfully said "Oh, that. Yes, there was no fire, it was just a coffee machine. But so we know that the alarm works!" "Charming small hotel visited a week before Easter 2024 - not their peak season so I suspect it is sometimes harder to get the lovely room on the 5th floor - but the room itself was a solid without being outstanding. We wanted a more authentic experience and that is what we got - the property is visited by local clientele on a daily basis since it has a restaurant and brewery. We traveled with my parents and stayed in a family apartment. One room had 2 king-sized beds (no closets). The other room was smaller with a set of bunk beds and an en suite (no closets).
