We are a family of four with two teenage children and stayed for two weeks.
We really appreciated the the peace and quiet and lovely views down to the sea, although this comes at the price of a steep walk up and a flight of stairs! We are all active so not a problem.
We chose not to hire a car and walk everywhere, it's about 25 minutes to the beach or the old town. the supermarket is less than 10 minutes walk, but uphill all the way back so bear this in mind if you don't have young, fit helpers!
The villa itself is modern and spacious, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen/lounge area is well appointed with everything you need, including excellent wifi.
The development dates from the 80's and is in a traditional Spanish style, which gives it lots of character and the feeling that you are in Spain, rather than a modern "could be anywhere" district.
Nerja itself retains much of it's charm and has several good beaches.
The villa pool is a short walk and a decent size, we never had trouble getting a sun bed, even in the height of the season
If you are looking full a tranquil villa with a bit of character, I would recommend this property.
