Relaxing Villa
Lovely villa with enough space for our 2 families not to get under each other's feet. The pool is also a really good size. There is plenty of shaded outdoor space, a must in the heat of a Spanish summer.
It is 15 minutes steep walk down to Burriana beach, there is a taxi rank at Burriana if you can't face the walk back up and it is possible to get the bus. Loads to do at Burriana including paddle board and kayak hire to go and explore the stunning coastine and coves. There are some great chiringuitos serving bbq fish, meat and veg skewers, paella and other delicious food at reasonable prices and loads of bars. It gets really busy at around 2pm and 8.30 so book or get down early.
There is a bus that goes into town and the villa is only 2 minutes walk from the bus stop on the roundabout and costs 1€ per person. Nerja old town is beautiful with lots to see and eat! Buses run until midnight from town in the summer season. You can find the timetable at the bus stop or online. You will need a mask for the bus.
The big Mercadona supermarket is 8 minutes flat walk away and has everything you need including fresh bread and pastries, and an amazing fish counter.
Whilst the villa is a bit out of town this is not an issue if you use the blue bus and there are a few bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away. Los Arcos Hotel was a particular favourite for either a quiet drink or a meal. The advantage of being a bit further out is the size of the villa and the pool.
Thank you for a great holiday and particularly to Najat who met us when we arrived and when we left even though we got a late flight in and left early on the last day.
