"I ran the Clarence De Mar half marathon and this hotel was in a great location for the event. The room was comfortable and quiet and I slept well. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were very friendly."

The only problem was at check in they still were not able to process my room on American Express, hope I don't get charged twice, but I had a Discover card on me that went through fine. Just a nuisance I would have preferred Amex."

"What an amazing place! The rooms and inn are charming, clean, and comfortable. The property is beautiful. The restaurant is outstanding with delicious food. But what stood out the most was the staff for both the restaurant and the inn. We checked in at about 7pm and the woman who helped us was personable, funny, warm and welcoming. We really felt like our needs were a priority. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable and the service itself was impeccable. We will be making this trip a yearly tradition. Thank you to everyone at The Blue Bear for an incredible experience!"

"We came to this area to do a hike at the local mountain. The hotel was conveniently located to where we wanted to be. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the quaint little downtown area was within walking distance. Only downside is that due to this being a small town, everything closes very early in the evening."
