Charming house, close to the Maitai River and a gentle walk to town

A lovely two storey home in a quiet area of town, bordering the Maitai River and only an 8 minute walk to town. There are 2 main bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds) and a further room and bed , to cater for a further guest, behind the kitchen area. There is a good sized lounge, dining area and kitchen with a shower room/toilet downstairs, plus a good laundry area with handy space for anything and popular to store bikes ! Upstairs there is a further shower room as part of the double bedroom and another toilet just off the landing.

There are small gardens around the property with a small private lawn, A lemon tree, and rhubarb are there to pick from all year round and a mandarin tree is absolutely full of fruit during the winter months

The house is perfect for any sort of guest, great for families, professionals, couples mountain bikers etc. within easy distance of all the town offers including the information centre , chemists , supermarkets , the Queens Gardens, the Centre of NZ walk and much much more .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nelson at Alan’s property. Communication with Alan was a breeze along with check-in and check-out. The house was as advertised, well stocked and clean. The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes. We will definitely be booking Alan’s property on our next visit.

Great location and a lemon tree!
House was a great location for seeing Nelson and the surrounding area. Alan was friendly and extremely helpful (confirmed we'd be able to view the World Cup final!). We even got to have some delicious lemons from the tree in the yard.

It is a really charming house in a very centre of the city. It's very clean, well furnished and its kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary stuff for cooking. It’s our grandmother’s house.
Location is great, but beds were not comfortable nor the furniture to sit on, carpet was very worn. Reasonably priced!

Amazing location and host
The house was in an incredible location! Access to downtown and parks and restaurants was perfect. The house was clean and the bedding fine. There was no place to sit outdoor, which was a pity because the weather was fine.
