Dutchies Dream is a sought-after holiday beach house, enviably located directly across from the forever popular and much loved Dutchies Beach. Its elevated position offers magnificent beach and water views. Sleeping up to eight guests this stylish three bedroom two bathroom holiday home boasts being in the most desirable position in all of Nelson Bay.

The open plan living areas feature beachy timber floorboards, air conditioning, ceiling fans and all look out to the picturesque beach and gorgeous blue waters of the harbour. The property has a large fully equipped kitchen with an island bench and bar stools. The adjacent dining area has an eight seater dining setting and lounge area that flows directly out to the massive entertaining deck. This undercover north facing deck is where you’ll be drawn to spend a lot of your time. There’s an outdoor dining setting and BBQ to cook up a storm on.

The master bedroom also looks out over the water, has a king sized bed, ensuite, ceiling fan and opens onto the deck through sliding doors. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, ceiling fan and direct access to the two way main bathroom. The third bedroom sleeps four people, as it houses two sets of bunk beds. The bunk room also has seating and a smart TV making it a great hangout spot for the kids.

Located across from family favourite Dutchies Beach means you can stroll out the front door and be on the golden sands of the beach in just seconds. Dutchies Beach has been a favourite for generations. It has calm water, perfect for little ones, is bookended by rocks children love to scramble over and explore, has bathrooms, showers, BBQs and fantastic childrens play equipment. Take a 15 minute stroll into town for lunch or bring the kids bikes and scooters and wheel into town for an ice cream. Dutchies Dream is located in the heart of Port Stephens and is within easy reach of all the area's attractions and activities.

Dutchies Dream has off-street parking and driveway parking. There is also laundry with washer and dryer, and free Wi-Fi. Upon arrival you’ll find the beds made with crisp white linens and fluffy towels for the bathrooms.

Dutchies Dream's prime location and breath-taking water views are sure to make many a holiday guests beach holiday dream a very memorable reality.

BOND a refundable bond of $1000 that is payable with the balance of your accommodation and is refunded 3-5 days from your departure date.

It is the Dutchie Dream
You cannot fault the location of this house. Directly across the road from Dutchies Beach with a beautiful large balcony to sit and admire the views. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Bedrooms were a little hot with only 1 air con unit in the loungeroom not quite reaching the bedrooms but the beds very comfortable.

Located across the road from a lovely beach and playground. A stroll into Nelson Bay from the property. Quiet a lot of stairs to get into the property so could be a problem for someone with mobility problems. Sliding doors and windows didn’t close properly which was a concern. Blinds in bedrooms need to be cleaned. If these issues were addressed I would definitely stay here again. Complimentary bottle of wine didn’t exit!

Reviewer Comments: Excellent location with beautiful views and close to the town centre.Cleaning - it appears the cleaners only change the bedding, clean the bathrooms and do a general tidy, so the cleanliness of the other areas, particularly the kitchen, is dependent on how the previous holiday renters leave it. The initial clean was poor with dead insects on the window sills, kitchen bench and in the kitchen cupboards. There was also cockroach excrement on the kitchen bench and it was littered all throughout the cupboards and drawers. Stay Port Stephens did offer to have the property re-cleaned when we notified them. The BBQ is old - the hot plate falls down and the ignition is not reliable. Overall the house is very tired and could do with kitchen and bathroom renovations. The neighbours are still renovating as per a previous review about this from October/November 2022. While this is not within the control of the owners/Stay Port Stephens, being woken at 6:30am multiple mornings was not pleasant. We felt the expectation to clean the house to a high standard and to put away the dishes before leaving was unreasonable given the cleaning charges. Previous places we have stayed at require a general tidy up and to put the dishwasher on prior to leaving.The $1000 security deposit seems excessive. Honestly - for the price we expected better upkeep and service.

Reviewer Comments: The location and view was fantastic but the house was very old and needs a renovation for the price we paid but the worst part is the service. Trying to charge extra for beach towels and asking us to clean up the house as leave it as we found it is very disappointing. I have 3 children under 7 and my husband and I are tidy people in general but getting an email asking me to clean the house 24 hours before I leave is not very relaxing for a 2 night stay! Also it’s a beach house, how can you not supply beach towels? It’s just ludicrous to me. It doesn’t take much to wash a load of beach towels. I won’t be back.

Beds were comfortable, however the bunk beds in Bedroom 3 are definitely more suited to children rather than adults. They are very squeaky when anyone moves and this room does not have an overhead fan if it is hot. They need to update and their wine and champagne glasses, but other than that we didn't really use the kitchen. Their is a lovely front deck to spend time on and the beach is right across the road. A nice peaceful spot and an easy walk into Nelson Bay.Disappointed that we checked out a week ago and still have not received the bond refund.

Views were beautiful.It was a lovely positioned home and the living areas we adequate for us.The bedrooms were also big and spacious as was the bed in the main. The set of drawers in the wadrobe didnt allow us to hand dresses and my husband s suit.The drwaers need to come out of the wardrobe in my opinion.I found was the cleaning wasn't adequate as when I spilt something on the floor in the kitchen. I cleaned it up and got filthy black off the floor. This when we first arrived. The plates that we used needed to be cleaned before use as they had food left on them when put away.The sliding door in the main bedroom doesn't seem to shut properly and needed to be tweaked to get it shut properly. The ensuite in the main had a very bad odour seemed to be coming from the floor waste. I was going to put a few cups of water down it as that works in my home. But I didn't get time. The grouting in the ensuite had mould in it.There was also an animal smeared on the white back board of the main bed behind the lamp. If this property could be serviced and cleaner I would recommend it. The curtains were also very dirty and faded.

Reviewer Comments: when we booked we assumed we were dealing with an airbnb host. turns out it was holiday rental company. we were charged 1000 bond which is not in the spirit of airbnb rentals. we were then sent pre checkout checklist a day after we had checked out. then we received an email accusing us of damiagng 3 things and when i challenged it and said i was offended i got an email expressing surprise that i was offended "as it is a standard email that goes to all guests??!! do hey accuse every guest??!!

Great spot right on the beach, wonderful view in the morning and afternoon. Big garage so no parking worries and big living area with large bedrooms (kids a little cramped but they are kids, they were fine). Response from owner great, had an issue with the BBQ and recycling collection and sorted both out with their help. Nothing negative to say about the property, only issue was the noisy/selfish tourists in the area who don't care about anyone else because they are on holiday (don't be this person) and the constant ice cream truck visits. (note: always have kids ice creams in the freezer). Beach is great for younger kids and kids that cant swim in waves. As parents as you can sit your towel right near the water and watch them and then nip home if there are any issues. Loved it. Coming back to the area next year for sure.

Great location right opposite the beach, great outdoor balcony space. The bunk bedroom does not have a ceiling fan or air conditioner and makes it very hot in summer. Check in was at 3, room was not available until 4, we’re waiting outside for an hour.
