The property isn't well run. The property in its entirety needs to be updated. Mattresses are old and uncomfortable, linens are old, bed spreads are cheap and uncomfortable, carpets are stained, the rooms don't smell clean, lighting is weak, the staff ( not everyone), in general isn't very friendly. Mostly I was ignored when entering or leaving the property. Maybe they just don't do enough business to maintain the property properly, it is tired and not well maintained, inside and out. What a shame as it's the only game in town. I hear the town wants to restrict short term rental property, and this is the only option, that will need to change.

This is our 5th stay here. It's quaint, quiet and next to the Middle Boulder Creek. The bubbling brook sound is always present through our open window. It's a lodge, always feels like they should upgrade portions of it, but that is the charm for us. Need a few more chairs on the back deck. Breakfast starts after 8. So much to see and do in town. Very, very clean.

I like the property, but I don't appreciate the fact they charged us $300 extra for smoking fee, when we don't even smoke, this happened they day after we left the room, they suppose to send me a pic as a the proof after I called to find out about this extra charge but they didn't do it until two weeks later after me calling them. So, I got one pic with a cigarette bud in a kitchen sink, I will never know how it got there, but what I do know is ... it wasn't me, and they charged me $300.

Staying at the Buffalo Creek Lodge was such a treat for my husband and I celebrating our wedding anniversary this past weekend. The lodge was so warm, cozy, and inviting, and couldn't have been in a better location. It was a joy to listen to and look at the creek right outside our window, and to be so centrally located. I look forward to hopefully staying here again in the future!

The property itself was charming and exceptionally clean, honestly one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at. The room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Parking was free and plentiful, and the location was ideal for lots of nature. My only small gripes is that there was not staff present 24 hours a day which is typical at almost all hotels. Also, the cafe area is locked at night. I had to depart at 5 AM so it would have been nice to be able to grab food on the way out. Otherwise, I highly recommend the place and would absolutely return if I was in the area again.

We love this place, this was our third stay here. The staff are very friendly and love our dogs! The hotel is rustic and although a little rundown it has had some remodeling and is very clean. The location in town is perfect for walking everywhere. There are some sketchy people creeping around town so lock your vehicle and don’t leave any valuables in it.

Beautiful property on the river within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. It served as a perfect, no frills hub to the nearby mountains. Our room did have a portable AC unit but don't believe that is standard, especially not in the mountains. It was appreciated! Continental breakfast was the bear minimum, coffee wasn't great either. That being said, the lodge was situated between two of the best coffee shops in town. Both of which had delicious breakfasts. Glad we ventured out. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.
