This is a great place to stay. Had everything we needed. Amazing views and just a few minutes away from our favorite hot springs! The hosts were easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend.

Amazing views

We were in the area for a trail running race and it was the perfect spot, close to trails and a soak in the hot springs. Pete and Jordana were super helpful and easy to work with. The place was clean and comfortable! And the views from the deck were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again.

Monarch Ski Trip 2024

Great location with great mountain views. Enjoyed the many horses in the pasture just out the back door. Easy commute to the slopes and great access to restaurants and shops.

Great place, Great Location!

This is our second stay at this home and we loved it even more than the first time. It’s very convenient to everything and is very comfortable. Pete and Jordana are great to work with and their house has a feeling of being home even though you are away from home.

Ski trip

We skid monarch while we were there. I was a little worried about the driving distance to the mountain but it was a lot easier commute than I thought. The proximity of the house to the hot springs was also a major plus. This property has an amazing view as well. Check in was easy as can be. All around fantastic experience.

The horse ranch

It was very hot when we stayed. The house doesn’t have A/C. It would cool down at night. It was right next to a big horse stable, so you really smelt horse urine. The Mountain View was amazing. It was a great location. I would stay there again.

Great property!

We brought our teens for skiing and snowmobiling. The property was perfect-great layout and location. The kids had their own rooms, and we liked our upstairs master (en suite). The house is perfectly situated for Salida, Buena Vista and the hot springs. We enjoyed visiting with the horses in the pasture beside the property, too. The view from the deck was made for coffe in the AM and beers in the evening! Thank you for a great trip!

Spectacular views

Our adult children and us stayed for a week and it was the perfect location for us as we rode four wheelers most of the week! It was right in the middle of a lot of trails so we did not have to travel super far. Place was very clean. We ended up leaving a day early and when I reached out to the owners to let them know they could send cleaners in earlier, there was no response from either. The knives in the kitchen were dull so next time when we come (and we will def be back!) I will bring some knives to help me cut my meat and veggies we were preparing for dinner. The kitchen is pretty equipped as far as crockpot and pots and pans, but could use some bowls for like popcorn or salad. The views are gorgeous and we loved sitting outside watching the sunset and the animals.

Very peaceful

Great place for girls weekend away or single family. Wasn't able to enjoy fire pit as it was a little cold during our stay, spring/summer would be ideal. Mt Princeton Hot Springs was very close and relaxing. Two towns very close for an afternoon drive and lunch. Host was awesome!! Would highly recommend for a getaway. Thank you.

Great little spot

The house was clean and the proximity to the hot springs was fantastic. The flies from the adjacent horse farms were a bit irritating, but manageable. Overall, had a great stay and would recommend it to others looking to explore the local area.

Great Location And Home

We were going four wheeling on Tincup Pass and this was a great location central to several trails. Home was clean and well maintained. Home owner was easy to contact and gave us all of the necessary information to get into and use the home. View was great of the 14ers in the area and home is a mile from the Mt. Princeton hot springs and ten miles from several restaurants. Would stay there again.

Convenient and Cozy

We enjoyed our stay, and loved all of the natural light from the windows at this property! It is located in a beautiful valley with easy access to Buena Vista and Salida, but not too far from Mt. Princeton and St. Elmo. We brough our side-by-sides and had room for our trailer. It was easy to get to trail heads, etc.

Convenient to Mt Princeton

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights with our kids age 2 and 6 months. We were in town for a wedding at Mt Princeton Resort. The home was great and met our needs. The only real issue was that the ground outside was covered in cactuses so the 2 year old couldn’t walk around much and had to be carried. Communication with the actual hosts was great but there is a property management company who took over a month to respond to a message. We would definitely come back.

Gorgeous Views!

We enjoyed every part of our stay in Nathrop. The property had all of the amenities that we could look for as well as stunning views. Fans were very helpful with the lack of air conditioning. We especially enjoyed the horses nearby. Our favorite part was the view from the firepit in back. The owner provided many good suggestions for experiencing nearby activities and the town of Buena Vista.

Wonderful property with amazing views!! Close to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Buena Vista, and easy access to Salida. We especially loved watching the horses behind the house. The house has lots of space, comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen (which we used to prepare a large family dinner), and even a horseshoe game area which was fun. We will definitely go back. If I had to pick one thing to change, it would be to add black-out curtains to the bedrooms, but other than that everything was perfect!!
