Deep Roots Retreat, a historic home with a story to tell. Originally a 1900 two-room Cedar Hill School, this space has evolved through five generations of family history. Crafted by my grandfather, the home exudes warmth with custom cabinets and shelving. Each corner holds the echoes of laughter, tears, and celebrations, creating an authentic and loving atmosphere. Granny's legacy lives on, especially in the kitchen where her biscuit cutters proudly hang. Great Tennessee Get-away
We had a wonderful stay at Deep Roots Retreat. This is a wonderfully decorated home with all the conveniences. Especially loved the coffee bar. The location is ideal, close to hiking trails and beautifully situated in the Tennessee hill country. I highly recommend this property.

Quaint Cottage
Close enough to the action in Nashville, yet far enough away to feel like a vacation from all the noise. The host was wonderful and available whenever needed. The restaurant and attraction recommendations provided were top notch! This the cutest little town ❤️!

Quiet weekend getaway
Lovely cottage home. Very clean and close to everything. Immensely enjoyed the serenity. My two (dogs) girls loved it too. Owners were very accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again!!

Great weekend getaway
We really enjoyed staying at this home while visiting with our daughter at college it was adorable and very welcoming. We definitely appreciated the coffee, snacks and fresh eggs after our long drive. Perfect farmhouse getaway
We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. It is so very peaceful and quiet. You are close enough to Nashville and the surrounding areas to enjoy trips into the city. Our family enjoyed also being able to fish and enjoy the river and state parks close by. Alicia was a fabulous host. The fresh eggs, complimentary wine, and fresh flowers were a welcoming touch. We would not hesitate to stay there again!!

Spring break with the family
We had a great extended weekend at Deep Roots. We relaxed over the weekend, did a little hiking, sat around the fire, and played games. Monday and Tuesday we sent into the city to see museums and eat delicious food. Recommend the Parthenon and centennial park. First museum was great. Johnny Cash museum was amazing. The Harpeth River trails were beautiful and well maintained. Ten Star weekend!!

AMAZING GETAWAY
Sheer perfection start to finish. Amazing attention to details and all the unexpected extras from coffee, snacks, s’mores, NYE champagne and more. This was a getaway weekend to relax and reset. And that is exactly what we did. I can’t wait to go back!!!

I can’t say enough about our stay. We were made to feel at home and celebrated. The property is beautiful and secluded. The house it is perfect. You are made to feel so welcomed from the moment you walk through the door. From the fresh flowers and birthday balloon for my daughter. To the fresh eggs, wine and coffee. It was such an amazing stay. Couldn’t have asked for more. The home owner was a pleasure to work with also.

Amazing! This was my first trip to Nashville and I absolutely loved everything about our stay. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had so many extras...snacks, wine, coffee, cream and even a dozen of fresh eggs! After a busy day walking around the city, it was so nice to come home and sit on the pouch with a beverage and enjoy the quite. Alicia was so amazing with providing information about the area and the "to do's." I will be coming back!

Secluded and special getaway home
The Deep Roots house is a great place to get away! Every day we found another supprise thing that made us love the house and location more. It is on a very private road, so private that our puppy barked like crazy at the one and only car that drove by. You feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself! There are great short hiking trails LITERALLY across the street and longer trails a short country drive away. Nashville was an easy drive, and the small town Main St for food in Kingston Springs. The host was excellent with communication and you can truly sense the pride she takes in her family home.

Deep Roots at Christmas
My son and grandsons stayed at this adorable farmhouse for the holidays. It was wonderful! Everything was as described. The house was cozy well equipped and comfortable. Alicia added many special treats for our stay- Christmas decor, farm fresh eggs, and fresh flowers! Snacks coffee and wine were available too! I highly recommend staying at deep roots farm! I especially appreciate that it is pet friendly! The house is secluded and very private. A bit off the beaten path but within a few miles of shopping and near the Harpeth river outfitters! I will be back again! Thanks Alicia!

Cute and Clean
We brought four teenagers with us to stay at this cute school/farmhouse and it was a very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well-kept. There were thoughtful touches throughout such as extra toiletries in case we forgot our own, snacks, wine, and plenty of coffee. I loved the history of the house and the little reminders of its schoolhouse days. We spent our days out and about sightseeing, and it was the perfect place to land at the end of each day. When we had questions, the hosts were quick to respond. Honestly, our questions would have been answered had we just read through the well-planned out brochure the owners left us. ;) Nonetheless, they were patient and accommodating with us.

Wonderful owners, location, beauty! Issues with heat
These are the most responsive owners I've ever stayed with! The farmhouse is lovely, old, and in a beautiful natural area, especially if you want to spend time at Harpeth River State Park. The stars are amazing, and the park is wonderful. We are city folk, so portable radiators as the only source of heat in the bedrooms were new to us. One stopped working, twice a fuse blew, and I wonder if the gas fireplace in the living room shouldn't perhaps have a screen in front of it. But every single time we had any issue, the family was there within minutes! It's an historic building with much to recommend a stay there.

Weekend Stay for my daughters baby shower. The house was perfect! I love a VRBO host that has easy check-in / out. The House was beautiful well maintained and was well stocked. I highly recommend. Very remote and super quiet but still close to Nashville.
