My brother’s and my families all met to spend time together for the holidays. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed. We plan to stay again in the future.
The house was clean and kids enjoyed playing in the creek. House was easy to get to and in a great location to get around and visit different sites in the area. Would gladly stay here again if we ever get back to the area from Michigan.
This was a great place to meet with family that we had not seen in years. Plenty of space to be together or take a break. The kitchen was great and we did almost all our meals there. Loved getting in the river as well that was a nice treat! We would definitely go here again if in the area.
Beautiful home by the river; spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans; plenty of towels and even toys with a pool table and a ping-pong table in the loft. Great for families!
House and location couldn't be better for any large family type stay you might want. We enjoyed a great visit with family for a local wedding, kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large group and very well equipped.
A big weather event happened while we were staying and the owner was super helpful and responsive. All in all a great place I would book again in a heartbeat. If your considering it don't hesitate!
We enjoyed our stay here while visiting the Crater of Diamonds Park. Everything was clean and tidy.
Plenty of dishes, cookware, towels etc. Beds were comfy. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables. The view of the river was lovely and peaceful. The flies outside were a bit annoying at times, probably because of the cow pasture, but worth it for the lovely views and privacy. I would stay here again.
The property was delightful, everything eas clean and comfortable. Being by the lake was peaceful and relaxing. We fished amd had an overall good time. It could use more seating, and a table somewhere to play cards, and more seating for watching tv. Otherwise perfect stay.
We had 4 families with 8 kids ranging 3-10 and this was the perfect set up. For starters everything was so clean! We travel together as a group fairly often and struggle to find places that have 4 king size bed AND 4 en suite bathrooms so that was a nice bonus. The kids loved the bunk room and the game room upstairs, plus there was plenty of room for them to run, play and explore outside. The home was equipped with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.
We had a great time, lots of fun, and memorable family adventures at and around beautiful Peaceful River Cabin. If I had to say anything negative it would be that there is nowhere to put your folded clothes away and if you did not bring hangers you could not hang clothes on the garment rack in the bedrooms. A dresser or some other form of hanging organizer would alleviate having to live out of your suitcase during the stay and an additional nightstand in each bedroom would be nice for a bed partner to place cell phone, jewelry, water, etc. on. Wonderful place for a family vacation. Thank you :)
The house was roomy and new and clean. We loved having the River in our back yard. Some of us floated, swam, or fished. We took a day trip to the diamond mine and some of our fishers went up to the marina a couple days to Fish. Enjoyed the shops in town an upstream dam at Lake Greeson released water daily, with rising water levels that were unexpected and a bit concerning until we became aware and could plan accordingly the water was fun with the higher levels, but strong and much deeper for hours This was not mentioned in the listing but is important for renters to be aware of check with Army Core of Engineers for schedule of dam releases wonderful cabin for a large family vacation!!
It's a wonderful place to stay at. House was only a month old when we stayed in it. Pretty rough trying to figure out the roads to get there but once you're there it's great. Was an interesting decision to place a rental on a river in a cow field but there was actually a lot of fun for all the guests in our group.
With it being brand new, you for sure find out real quick what would be nice additions to the place. The bedrooms could really use a dresser or something to put your bags on and spread out some. Kitchen/dining area has plenty of space for a large dining table but doesn't have one. And I'm sure it is probably the best they can probably get out there but your phone's data will be quicker than their wifi at the house. Totally not a deal breaker if you have a good crew that likes to disconnect anyway! Other than that, just keep an eye out on the river! Our first day there, there were multiple spots that would have been over most adults' heads and the second day the water was at our ankles!

Thanks Cody ! you're such a wonderful host!
House was good for a large family! The kids absolutely loved the game room.
Only downside were the large hornets. They were not hostile, but would come into the house somehow with all the doors and windows closed. We found several dead ones laying around and had to kill one.
The name of this cabin fits it perfectly. When we first got there the river wasn't flowing but was still pretty. Woke up the next morning to a beautiful full flowing river. We will consider that a blessing from the Lord. The cabin it's self is beautiful and spacious. Our teens and littles all enjoy d the game area. littlesall enjoyed the
We stayed at the house for two nights and had a wonderful time! It was the perfect layout for our group of 8 Girl Scouts and 2 adults with each girl having their own bed and each adult having their own room. The ping pong and pool table were used extensively!
Distances to the store and to Crater of Diamonds (the reason we traveled) were reasonable and easy to get to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Family vacay from Wisconsin, Florida, and Ohio. Plenty of space inside and out. Morning waffles with the family. Day of diamond digging. Neighbors pups came over for a visit and played in the river with the kids almost everyday. Game of kickball in the yard and red light green light. S’mores! Relaxing and quiet location. Farmer that sold the land came down and told us about a place to find fools gold and fun rocks in the creek just north of the place.
We loved this property for our first big family vacation. The house is very open and spacious for a big group. We loved how secluded the property is and the location along the river. We enjoyed watching the wildlife. We would stay here again!
We loved the house and property. We brought lots of lawn games and some blow-up kayaks and had fun floating from the HWY 27 access and playing together in the yard. Plenty of silverware but house could use more dishes - plates, bowls, cups and there was a definite wasp problem. They had been treated with something for sure because they were easy to kill but they were in the house - especially in the laundry room and front windows.
The hose was beautiful, clean, roomy and cool. The setting was gorgeous with the Little Missouri River in front. We had 15 family members there and plenty of rooms and beds. Would love to stay there again.
