2-SOUTH AT THE BROWN COUNTY BARN BURNER

This two bedroom, one bath unit, with sleeper sofa, has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, access to the shared rooftop patio via an interior stairway, and can sleep up to 6 people.
For larger groups: 2-South is just one of four units available to rent in the Barn Burner. Renting all four units together will allow you to accommodate up to 29 people.
• 1-North (sleeps 3) and 2-South are adjoining units and can be combined by opening the shared pass through door between them.
• Directly above 1-North and 2-South, is the 3-East unit which can sleep up to 10 people and has walk-out access to the shared rooftop patio.
• 3-West is above the Brown County Bikes retail shop and is a mirror image layout of, and is located across the rooftop patio from, 3-East.

LOCATION
The Brown County Barn Burner is located at 185 S Jefferson St, near the corner of Jefferson and Washington Streets. It’s a quiet corner of town, but still just a few easily walkable blocks from the heart of Nashville, Indiana and all it has to offer – including shopping, restaurants, art galleries and studios, coffee shops, and much more.
Located less than ¼ of a mile from the trailhead of the Salt Creek Trail, guests can comfortably walk or bike the ¾ mile paved trail to reach the Brown County Music Center, Brown County YMCA, local IGA grocery store, and other shops and restaurants in the Salt Creek Plaza. Or hop in your car, and maybe load up your bikes, to head to the Brown County State Park, Yellowwood State Forest, Lake Monroe, nearby Bloomington or Columbus, Indiana, or numerous other nearby attractions.
There is one dedicated parking spot for each unit at the “back” of the building, off Honeysuckle Lane. Honeysuckle Lane is one-way, running to the south (Washington Street), and can be accessed from Pittman House Lane, or any other cross street to the north. If additional parking is needed, there is plenty of free street parking nearby, along with several free public parking lots.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay, including stainless steel Samsung appliances (electric range, microwave, French door refrigerator and freezer, and dishwasher) and butcher block countertops, plus plates, cups, mugs, utensils, pots and pans, coffee and tea making supplies, and basic cooking ingredients. A gas grill is also available for your use on the patio.
You can make your own meals if you want to enjoy a slower start to your morning or a night in, or walk a few blocks to one of the many restaurants in Nashville, knowing you can easily store any leftovers once you’re back.
LAUNDRY
Guests have access to a stackable LG washer and dryer unit, along with laundry necessities, plus an iron and ironing board for your convenience. These amenities make it easy to pack for even a lengthy stay.
BEDROOMS
2-South has two bedrooms – one with a King bed and the other with two Twin XL beds (that can be pushed together into a King upon request), as well as a full/double sleeper sofa. Each bedroom is uniquely furnished and features premium quality Parachute-brand bedding, Tuft & Needle mattresses, curtains and blackout shades, and a white noise machine.
BATHROOM
The bathroom in 2-South has a repurposed vintage cabinet with a vessel sink for the vanity and a shower/tub combo. Plush Parachute-brand towels and all the essentials are provided in each bathroom.
ROOFTOP PATIO
2-South has access to the shared rooftop patio via a private interior staircase. The rooftop patio is furnished with plenty of chairs, tables, and stools for lounging, dining, and relaxing, along with a gas grill. There are two covered overhangs with ceiling fans to help you stay cool, protect you from the rain, and keep bugs away, on even the hottest Indiana summer nights. A 6 ft long linear gas fire table makes staying warm and making s’mores easy any time of the year.
The rooftop patio is shared by three units (2-South, 3-East, and 3-West). Rent multiple units if you’re traveling with a larger group and everyone can enjoy gathering there to eat, relax, and spend time around the fire in the evenings.
FAMILY-FRIENDLY
Each unit comes equipped with one Pack ‘n Play with fitted sheet, one high chair, kid’s dinnerware, and an assortment of toys and games. Bedrooms are separate from the living spaces, and include blackout window coverings and white noise machines, which means kids can go to bed or take naps while adults have the rest of the space to continue relaxing and enjoying their time together.
PARKING
There is one dedicated parking spot for each unit at the “back” of the building, off Honeysuckle Lane. Honeysuckle Lane is one-way, running to the south (Washington Street), and can be accessed from Pittman House Lane, or any other cross street to the north. Great getaway
Our family of four enjoyed a great long weekend before school started. The unit was clean, modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed! We especially enjoyed the rooftop and had several fun evenings making smores. The location was perfect - easy walk to shops and restaurants; short drive to Brown County State Park. The owner was very communicative and responsive. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Great weekend getaway
This is a great place to stay! Great location within walking distance to everything downtown Nashville has to offer. We had a little hiccup while we were there and Kara was quick to respond with a remedy. Highly recommend this place!

Best we’ve had in Nashville
We’ve been coming to Nashville, Indiana for 12 years over the Christmas holidays. We’ve probably stayed at 10 different properties. In town is always so convenient to just park and walk. This rental was the most up to date and modern we’ve stayed in. It’s obvious that a lot of thought and care was put into the accomodations. Perfect for up to 4 people. Couldn’t have asked for nicer or cleaner and we’ll be back next Christmas for sure.

Wonderful Trip
The property was well-appointed and in a central location to all of the shops and restaurants in Nashville. The pictures are exactly what it looks like - it was very cozy and we felt at home. Kara's (the owner) emails with Google Maps pin drops, for all the different shops/restaurants, were great to reference throughout the weekend trip. It is such a charming city to visit a week ahead of Christmas. We would absolutely return to the BC Barnburner again.
