The perfect getaway for a small family or 1-2 couples set on a quiet country (dead end) road. Three bed, one bath authentic log cabin set on nearly seven wooded acres, with community access to a beautiful pond for fishing or boating within walking distance. A serene setting yet close to town and the Delaware River for activities.
The space
Covered front porch with dining table for morning coffee or light meals. Comfortable chairs encourage you to stop and enjoy the flowers in the expansive front garden or linger over evening cocktails at dusk. Everyone seems to congregate here to socialize and enjoy the outdoors.
Open concept floor plan with all common space on the main floor.
Full size appliances in the kitchen for ease in preparing meals. Plenty of dishware on open shelves, kitchen linens, cooking and serving utensils and small appliances provided (coffee maker, blender, slow cooker, toaster, microwave).
Living room is perfect for binge watching DirectTV, playing games or listening to music.
Light-filled dining room with an antique tiger oak trestle table, perfect for meals and evening board games or cards.
Newly remodeled bathroom features a subway tile shower, plenty of fluffy towels, and sundries.
Upstairs features 2 separate yet open sleeping lofts with queen beds, outfitted with new high quality linens, quilts, and down comforters. Cozy and comfortable for a wonderful night's sleep. You'll awaken to bird song. (Note: the lofts are one large open space separated by an open stairwell.)
Grill outside on the gas BBQ. Sit by the fire pit (wood bin is stocked, just gather some kindling from the woods), roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories, while listening to the owls hooting in the woods.
Explore the property to find large rock formations and a seasonal flowing spring. Flower gardens and woodlands surround the cabin. Perennial flowers bring pollinators, butterflies, and hummingbirds. You'll find bird houses scattered throughout the property. You may see deer, turkey, ground hogs (aka whistle pigs), fox and pileated woodpeckers around the property and beavers, turtles and water fowl in the ponds.
Guest access
We actively use the cabin, so you'll see our presence here---furniture and artwork we've collected and our favorite nature books. Dressers are open for guest use. We are happy to share our space with others; we hope you'll love it as much as we do.
Other things to note
Cell Service is unreliable, but we do have a landline and wifi to keep in touch.
