"Basic simple room in a new apparently purpose-built house about 10 minutes walk out of the old town. Don’t make the mistake we made - we thought we’d be doing hosts a favour by extending our stay directly through them only to discover that they charged us a higher nightly rate than Hotels.com. It’s strictly business here as not only did they argue with us about the rate, but they insisted on their price rather than graciously backing down and accepting the misunderstanding and benefits conferred...

"Loved my stay at B&B Villa Zola. The views were amazing, the suite, amenities and attention to detail above par and much more than I expected. Private Terrace with a view to the sea! Absolutely wonderful stay. Antonio is a thoughtful and welcoming host. I only wish I could have stayed longer than 3 nights. He gave us recommandations about the best places to see, was very proactive and served us very good breakfast each morning. "Michele was very responsive & welcoming from the time I booked the accommodation. He sent a few links to places to see in Carloforte plus the ferry timetable which were all very helpful. Our room was very quiet, clean with a comfortable bed. Although breakfast wasn’t included, there is a kitchen with utensils, etc that one can use for a take out meal. Would highly recommend staying here. "

"We had a very pleasant stay at Villacool, Domus de Maria. The property is clean, well equipped, and great both indoors and outdoors. The swimming pool was notably in excellent condition. We mostly ate outdoors and the outdoor gas BBQ was much appreciated. The house is a little way inland, as shown in the property listing, and therefore away from busy tourist areas, which means there is a short drive to get places but also that the property is quiet and relaxing. Definitely recommended."
