There are several rivers of varying difficulty in Tena, Ecuador. I'm not sure the name of this river, but we had all class III and IV rapids. It was a great day out -- about 4 hours to get down the river.

"The apartment is right in the center of town and close to restaurants, tour companies, the main plaza, etc. Freddy, the property manager was very helpful and was always available at a moment's notice. He provided a lot of good recommendations on things to do in the area. The owner didn't respond to my calls at first, but after leaving a written message on WhatsApp, he got back to me. "

San Jose de Puembo Quito Airport, an Ascend Hotel Collection

"The staff were incredibly friendly. The good was very good. They provided transportation to and from the airport. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and about 40 minutes from the city of Quito (without traffic). There isn't much to do in the area of the hotel, but the hotel does have many things to do (pool, lawn games, pickleball etc)."
