"We loved everything. We stayed in a Deluxe Bure for 10 nights and didn't want to leave. The staff are lovely, caring and efficient. The food is superb, easily the match for any top class restaurant anywhere, and very reasonable prices for generous quantities. We only ever needed one main dish to share at dinner, and usually didn't eat lunch. Sunbeds and cabanas are plentiful and white sandy beaches are a couple of minutes walk, or straight from your sunbed, down a couple of steps and straight into the sea at any tide, for good snorkeling with plenty of sea-life amongst the coral. Bures are comfortable, very clean and everything you need. We have nothing negative to say whatsoever. The farewell from the staff left both of us very close to tears, and both with a determination to return. "

The amount of detail and preparation achieved in each area of the property, such as delicious food, entertainment, activities, and the overall appearance of the property. We travel the world, and we both agree that this property is managed extremely well. You will fall in love with the staff as they all greet you by your first name and make you feel welcomed throughout your entire stay visiting this beautiful beachfront property. "This is a small resort owned and run by Fijian family. It's very authentic, quiet and has beautiful settings. However it's not a "western style type resort." This is kinda like glamping with meals cooked for you. All you do is relax and enjoy the scenery :-) The bures are spacious and built in traditional Fijian style, including bathroom. Simple but practical. Minifridge was an unexpected bonus. We didn't find any insect throughout our 4 night stay. Our neighbours though had a cockroach and some spiders visited them. But that's expected even in higher end places in this tropical environment. Food was delicious and so well presented. They collect rain water which is safe to drink (we were fine but for our kid we treated it with tablets or bought bottled water). Free wifi by the main building. The trip to Blue Lagoon was a highlight. Best snorkelling spot, so many fish! ($40fjd) The trip to the caves is worth doing too. It's about 40 min boat ride one way and it can get bumpy. ($125 fjd) We really enjoyed our stay at Nabua Lodge. We will definitely be back!"

"This resort is one of the best we have ever stayed at. This is very much due to the staff. They were all amazing and accommodating. It’s a tiny resort with only ten rooms, but all of them have amazing views. The food is great and since it is so small you truly get to meet all the guests. We met some awesome people from Australia, so shout out to Nina, Milton, Emily, James, Steve and Kelly! The only thing that was strange for me was the saloon door on the bathroom. No privacy but we have been married a long time. I would definitely come back again❤️"

"We enjoyed the island, it was beautiful. The food was good and plentiful but got fed the same things over and over. We knew what to expect from a homestay but we found that there was nothing to do except snorkle without paying for activity fees. So bring lots of cash! We expected to be asked for school donation and we did, but was not ok with being asked for donating to their family directly. We felt that paying for the homestay fee and for the activities was sufficient. But it was uncomfortable to be constantly told how much money they needed (this was just one individual doing this) Most everyone else was lovely. So try it out but be aware. Oh... and there was no kava ceremony or cultural activities unless you request and pay. "
