Exceptionally appointed, classic Nantucket cottage with everything provided to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The host went out of her way to assist us, which was greatly appreciated. Super location for enjoying the serenity of Nantucket.
My family and I had a great time at this cottage! The house was clean and decorated beautifully- had everything we needed.
Allison was super responsive to any questions, even when we had a little mishap on the 4th of July.
The private beach a few steps away was such a great experience with my two toddlers!
We’ll be back!
Thank you Allison for all you did to make our stay perfect. Your home is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. Being so close to the beach and harbor provided a serene and gorgeous setting away from the town but close enough for trips to the center or Sconset. Loved everything about our week. Highly recommend this home👍😊
Loved staying at this adorable cottage! I had some communication with the owner and she was the absolute best to talk with and answer my questions. I have rented previous homes on the island and I have to say that this was my best experience. Five ⭐️ for sure
We have stayed at several places in Nantucket. This one is a keeper. Allison, the host, makes the difference and is really invested in her tenants having a great time. Everything is fresh and clean with up to date utensils, pots/pans in kitchen as well as linens, pillows. The nearby beach is lovely, walkable and great for families. Lots of counter space, large refrigerator. Deck and grill adds to experience. Lots of privacy on all sides of house. Also once you drive on Polpis, Madaket area is really nearby. And Bartletts Farm of course for everything. We def return on our next trip to ACK!
Allison’s adorable beach cottage is picture-perfect and everything my family of 4 (my husband, 2 young boys, and me) hoped for during our week-long stay on Nantucket. This little cottage is an older home with unlimited charm, which Allison has thoughtfully updated and decorated to give it a modern, perfectly-beachy, incredibly clean, comfortable, and beautifully-decorated “home away from home” feel. Everything is just as it is pictured in the photos, but photos truly don’t do this beauty justice. My boys loved exploring seashells on the nearby beach (a couple minutes walk from the cottage), my husband and I enjoyed morning coffees and some of our family dinners on the deck (the grill and kitchen are great), we all loved outdoor showers after days in the sand (we are spoiled by those and wish we had one at home now!), and we looked forward to comfortable family time watching a movie or reading books at night in the cozy living room.
Having the cottage in Wauwinet (steps away from the Wauwinet Hotel & Topper’s) gave us a peaceful retreat after busy days exploring the island, and we absolutely loved that. Allison was such a helpful and patient host - quickly answering each email/question I had to help us navigate our first stay on the island. We had an amazing trip and fell in love with Nantucket! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful beach cottage, Allison! We can’t wait to visit Nantucket again.
We stayed for eight nights in June/July 2022 and the experience was great. The property was accurately described, and the owner was super responsive to a variety of questions. She offered helpful guidance on ferry reservations, restaurants, rainy day activities, and the best butcher/fish monger/bakery. We cooked in 50% of the time and the house was well-stocked with necessary kitchen items. Great Weber grill out back on the deck, which was good for four-person dinners. We had two sets of friends visit us during our stay, and the house works well for two couples. Solid laundry capacity in the house. There is a third bedroom with bunk beds suitable for kids. Beach access is fantastic and the beach was uncrowded...literally more seals than people. Also no problem to go over to the Wauwinet Inn (next door) and watch the sunset from their harbor facing lawn and get some drinks. This property is perfect for those looking for a quiet stay away from the crowds of Nantucket town when the main objective is relaxation, solitude and awesome beach time. Also a good idea to have a car, as this enabled strategic visits to town for dinners (we hit Sconset twice and Nantucket town twice), picking friends up at the ferry/airport, and visits to get groceries or provisions. Probably not for you if you expect to walk to restaurants, coffee shops and other town-based amenities. Finally, we all loved the outdoor shower. I developed such an affinity for this shower that I didn't use an indoor shower for the entire trip. Great property, great owner and great trip.
We had a wonderful visit with the cottage providing a perfect home base for our family. It was comfortable, clean, close to the beach, and a lot of fun to stay. Host was very responsive and the house was very user friendly. Highly recommend to anyone.
Selfishly, we'd like this cottage all to ourselves, BUT it's only fair to share this gem! The cutest little house with every amenity you'd need for a beach getaway. My husband and I stayed here with our 2 young daughters (not quite 3yo and 6mo baby), and were comfortable in every way. The location is incredible -- right at the entrance to Great Point and a stone's throw from the Wauwinet, for easy date nights and take out from Toppers. Allison was an incredibly gracious host. She made the check in and check out process seamless, gave us complete privacy during our stay, and was very response -- both leading up to our vacation and during. We can't recommend this property enough!
We cannot say enough great things about our stay. The cottage was super clean and lovely. Being able to walk to the beach or Toppers was such a great convenience. We were able to get the best of both worlds- peaceful quiet location with awesome food and a beautiful beach with amazing sunsets just steps away.
We can’t wait to come back!
